Are there any old school rpg type mmos?
Looking for something like Final Fantasy 4/5/6ish or Dragon Quest type online MMO. I know there will be a DQ game coming out in the near future but looking for something more along the lines of those older games.
Don't care if it's browser or client. I know years upon years ago there were a few in the works but don't know what ever happened to them.
Edit to add something along the lines of Secret of Mana would be interesting too.

Dangit, I used to be pro at knowing these games. Err, look for a list of 2D MMOs first of all, it's a good start. There was a new one I saw just yesterday... Sorry I can't remember.
I'll be watching this thread myself hoping someone else finds some of these games.
Hmm how do I sort the games by 2D/3D? I don't see an option for that.
Check out Realm of the Mad God, decent browser game that is similar graphics wise anyways to the ones you mention.

Thanks for the suggestion but it's not what I'm looking for. That game has more of a 8-bit feel to it and it's basically nothing more than Astroid with levels and equipment added to it. Although it is rather fun, and I did play it for a while, it's not what I'm looking for.
Think Final Fantasy 4-6..
I've found a few but they all look so lame it's hard to judge. Any more suggestions would be great.
Maybe check out SEYKEN. Sounds like this fits in with what you are lookin for.

This looks simply amazing. It looks like the servers have been down for 2 months for updates.. Going to try anyhow, maybe they just forgot to post they were back up, we can be optimistic right?
