Heritage Quests?

So, can evil toons do the Dwarven RIngmail and Dwarven Work boots Heritage quests to gain status points for their guild or do you have to be a goodie to do those?

all alignments can do all HQ quests

    http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Heritage_Quests_Timeline

some parts  may be more tricky than others if city guards hate you

in Kelethin, only the royal guards near the queen hate evils

    - doubt you will see them unless you get near royalty

    OK, good to know, thanks!

btw, I was on eq2i checking out the mounts, those raptors are incredible looking.  I have seen some images of the newer armor and that too is incredible!!

I cant wait to start duoing with my wife.  Any recommendations as to the most capable duo for handling Heritage quests before they turn grey as a duo?

I personally dont know well enough to recommend

even if the quests go grey, can always self mentor your level down w Chronmancer npc for small fee of 5 gold

    • A number of mysterious erudites have set up in Qeynos, Freeport, Neriak, Gorowyn, and Kelethin. Any player level 20 or higher can speak to them and for a small fee temporarily lower their adventuring level.

    • This works very similarly to mentoring except:

      • You do not need a mentoring target.

      • You can only choose levels in increments of 5 (10, 15, 20, etc).

      • You do not receive the bonuses granted from mentoring other players (currently you receive a very large bonus to AA gain while mentoring another player, this is not granted by the Chronomagic system).

    • The chronomagic will last until cancelled (right-click on your nameplate or /unmentor). Once cancelled, you must return to any Timeless Chronomage to reactivate the effect

Nice, so we can do all the quests in one starter zone and then mentor ourselves down to 15 and do the next starter zones quests?

    yes

or alternatively, at any level beyond 10+  can slide your AA bar to max AA

and "level lock" with all your experience going to AA until you want to level again

I do both leveling methods all the time because I like collecting the quest mounts from the different newbie zones

if you are a good toon you can do the quests in darklight woods and vice versa?

yes - everyone is eligible for all quest

darklight guards do attack so need to keep your distance from them

usually not a problem because  its mostly road patrols

there is a guard inside on the camps where Darklight woods mount quest starts

just gotta be careful for taking / turning the quest to the npc and keep out of aggro distance of the guard

    SK + Inquisitor / Defiler

    Bruiser / Monk + Defiler / Mystic

Paladin / SK + Fury  (more advanced than other two)

If you have any interest at all in doing quests from multiple starter areas, you should absolutely set your XP slider to 100% AA. At later levels,  AAs are a lot harder to get than XP and this is a good way to kill two birds with one stone.

We will definitely slide the AA bar to 100%...probably at lvl 15 so the lvl 10 quests are still green (they are still green if we are lvl 15, right?)

We will probably do several duos, with a theme to each.

    Evil Melee: SK and Inq/defiler

    Evil Casters: Necro and Warlock

Barbarian Fighters: Berserker and Swashie (or ranger)

Granola duo: Beastlord and Warden (or Ranger or Fury)

Me doing the melee and her doing the ranged or pet class (healer as well)
