My guess would be Rift races in expansions would be like elemental plane creatures or something. I would play one of those big fire demon dudes that I see sometimes in a heart beat.
Should I buy Rift? I played the trial and I loved it. I loved the class mechanics and the enviorment. I know it's called a wow clone but I never really played WoW, So I can't call it a clone or compare it. (which I think is a good thing) But the thing that bothers me is that a lot of people say they get bored fast of it. And I don't want to invest money/time in somehting I will enjoy in the long run
So please give me some input
Im guna give this to you plane and simple, Iv bought and played Rift, iv Bought all of WoW's X-packs and played them all. Stick with WoW, if u want something "Diffrent" go to SWTOR but leave the simple Theme Park MMO's to the big dog's Blizzard. And dont try flaming me any one xD cuz u know its true.
I would buy it if I could. It's not a bad game even though the gameplay is very familier. Even if you don't continue to sub after the first month you could always go back to it. I normally purchase games and go back once in a while to check out new things etc. Definately finding a good guild is probably a plus, especially if they are the type of people you enjoy talking to and grouping with. But, all this is just my take on it All in all it's your choice.

Yeah, but Blizzard is copying Rift with Mist of Pandaria, so Trion must be doing something right. Pve Scenarios are Instant Adventures. Murder Ball is Black Garden right down to the point system.
Switching talents and swapping them out comes from Rift. The tentacle fight in Deathwing is almost exactly like the Akylios fight. Blizzard is just extremely slow with their content and WoW seems to be getting too old.
