FE Vehicle Wish List

Same as the Weapons Wish List. Two catagories, 5 choices each, so hurry and and lets hear em!

Ground Vehicles:

1. Stryker Armored Vehicle

2. Amphibious Assault Vehicle

3. Dirt Bikes

4. Regular Cars/Pickups

5. Buggies

Aircraft:

1. MH-60G Pave Hawk

2. AH-6J Little Bird

3. UH-60 Black Hawk

4. V-22 Osprey

5. CH-47 Chinook

    And do you really think they'll have flying stuff in there? I doubt it.

    I'd like to see some new innovations due to the nuclear fallout. Something powered by the fallout, or something powerful on radiation. This way we can get some new things in there, and not just have everything photorealistic. Also, a dream of mine is to have a big plate or something protective on one side of my vehicle, so i can hope out at first sighting of trouble, and use it for cover.

    I realize you're big on military equipment, Delgado, but I dont think we're gonna have tanks and attack helicopters whizzing around on a regular basis. And there was a section in the FE archives (Newspaper, page 2 (3?)) that mentioned something about not being able to fly anymore. I *can* see some aircraft wrecks being around for salvage, but not many.

    Other than that, dirt bikes, regular cars/pickups, buggies.....the odd school bus, just for cthul...

    What I want to see is the ability to fire weapons out of vehicles. Few things would be more fun or more realistic than riding shotgun on a dune buggy in FE.

    Random thought: Vehicles could be solar powered / battery operated. As in crafting components, could be an engine option: Combustion or solar. Fuel tank or battery pack. Pimping hood or solar cells (Ok, maybe not the hood....)

    Also, certain large weapons (M2 machine guns that are salvaged/crafted and the like) should be able to be mounted on some vehicles...could have an acceptable weapon size slot. Pickup truck could have an M2 welded to it, while a school bus might accept anything up to a TOW launcher...heck, I dunno. Anyone drive buses with machine guns that cares to shed light on realism? No? Didn't think so...

    Ok. First of all. This is a wish list, so its meant to sorta dream a bit about what would be cool to have ingame. Not really serious. But who knows, the Gods do check it out so maybe something might make it. Also, this is a post apocalyptic world. Look at Fallout Tactics, they had armored personel carriers and even a light tank. ANYTHING is possible in a game and those types of vehicles fit as well. The military vehicles I mentioned here are in fact not tabks but armored personel carriars.

    *FLYING* vehicles are not impossible. Look at Fallout 2 and the Vertibird. Thats a V-22 Osprey. Also look at the world. 7,000 square miles big. Why not add a chopper or two? Its of course something for WAY DOWN the road for the game but why not?

    I'de dig a moped or something along that line. And maybe a cool little economy car, like a Kia Rio. It would be soooo cool to ride around in a Rio blasting people. Fear the Kia Rio. A bicycle might be cool, too.

    While I want many a varied vehicles from what i understand they will be extremely difficult to acquire. Because of that I do not want them to be too overpowering. My fear is someone with a "tank" being able to mow through hundreds of other players who do not yet have vehicles.

    I realize that is more realistic, but Unless the devs are going to be adding tank traps, (mines, anti-vehicles ditches, etc) Vehicles will be too common and will become too nessisary for the higher end game.

    As for my wishlist...

    A simple horse or mule.
    A very basic gyro-copter

    A pathmaker veihicle: very slow no armour, no weapons, but clears a temporary path for other vehicles. The path will last maybe a day or so. Thus two outpost relativly close to each other can run pathmakers between the twain and create a highway where other vehicles can travel faster between the two.

    Relatedly I wonder iof there will be dilapitaded freeways in the game. And what affect they may have on prime outpost locations?

    I'd like to see flying tech in the game eventually, obviously not at the start. But I think it'd be impressive to say the least. Maybe in some future content add-on? I haven't see any "jumping" in the trailers so I don't know how they are handling the z axis. Please oh please don't let it be like SWG or Horizons :) Here's hoping.

    It´s post apoc! I think gasoline will be even more rare and expensive than nowadays! ;)
    What about mounts? Mutated, over sized dragonflies to fly with or camels with 16 humps(troop carrier)? :D
