I knew it by a banner here at mmorpg.com and after giving it a try ( and to a gazillion of games like it ) I must say : ITS GOOD, very good, damnit, its the best I ever seen of its kind.

    It'd be much more successful as a Facebook app, I bet.  Or, an iPad app, I should say.  Guess those are where its at these days, and there's a whole lot of untapped potential there, in the lack of multiplayer games.  Stronghold Kingdoms might do well there, too.

     

    ..but as a standalone PC game?  Even considering that its F2P, there's really not much to it.

     

    When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

    Plus if you really want to stand a chance at winning youll have to sink a lot of cash into buying cards. Its how the top alliances work. Not worth playing freeplay when you can buy inherent advantages like that. Plus if you don't sink cash in your always going to be at a disadvantage against those who do.

    Not only is it a heavy pay to win, but Devs and friends of Devs are playing in factions. The Devs are using cards like crazy for free and handing them out to their friends. It's still only beta, but this makes me sad as I do like the game. I'm in a faction with a Dev and Mods and they have no problem telling people about what they are doing.  But this is not anything I don't think most don't know. Also, read the forums and look at how big of a holes the devs are to people. Here is a link...

    The one I have talked to in our house is a complete arrogant AZZ. Of course I would not tell him that in game as my towns would go poof, I am sure.

     

    Here is a thread explaining another problem with the game, people that are using multiple acocunts and strange things that some people are able to do. I have seen a few things myself, like a person that moves into a parish and takes over the parish with the most votes, when no one voted for him and he did not use any monks to influence his vote (its tells you when monks are used), but I just assume it is one of them many accounts I am sure the Devs have and are using (maybe for testing, maybe just to be a holes).
