While personally I dont care if a person swears or not you have no one to blame but yourself. Break the rules and get caught you get suspended. Really not that hard to understand. Hell I was suspended for a week when I played wow in wrath for calling a person an assclown. In WOW....a game that never moniters chat. A game where racism and the like is commonplace for chat. Yea...but I wasnt pissed because regardless of how stupid I felt it was I broke the rules. It really is that simple.
Probably not the response that you were looking for, but since you bothered to post this on the forums at all, I'll assume you were looking for feedback. So that's mine.
If people want to curse, toss out racial slurs, or anything else of that sort in their guild chat or party chat while sharing private playtime with friends - go for it. Moderating that sort of thing or punishing people for it smacks of Big Brother level control issues from the game company in my view.
If you can't control your virtual mouth in Global chats or party or local chats around strangers, and you break the posted rules, sure. The game company has every right to review the proof and decide if you need some enforced time away from their product so you can mull over if you can follow their rules or not.
It's no skin off of Turbine's nose if they want to maintain a cleaner product than say, Blizzard, where anything goes in Tradechat 24/7.
lol reminds me of when I cursed in PVP in this game, fortunately the GM spoke to me about it before actually acting on it so I got lucky I s'pose. Yeah, Turbine don't like cursing and are very strict about it :-P
Chat filters are NOT a green card to cursing. That and I highly doubt it was just for an occasional bad word.
Sorry to but I really cant find the sympathy you are looking for, you sat on the coals , now enjoy sitting on the blisters.
Not looking for any. Be warned that you will be cnesored in this game. People also have gone missing for for letting Warner Brother what they thought odf the bull crap called Isengard xpac
Let me put it to you this way. I cursed in this game for years. Never a warning, no one cared. Not until I complained about dual boxing and added a curse word , Then I said some more about the dimise of Monster play now that people can dual box and exploit the sytem, then i curesed.. banned.
Why thank you, you do realise you now admitted it was NOT just for cursing. If I have to venture a gues, Id say you took it to.. harrasment levels.
The fact is that young people do play the game and we do not allow coarse language in our kin. I dp agree the game has deteriorated a bit in that last two years. but that does not excuse bad behavior in game.

let me show how I deal with cursing and mornic people ppeople in a game world.. /blcked.. it is that easy.
Gues the truth hurts.
But atleast we now know it was a harrasment issue that got the OP banned.
So you cursed and worse by your own admintion. Good for Turbine for banning you. I personally don't care all that much about swearing, but I cringe every time I see it knowing that children are playing and it is normally the "adults" setting the bad exapmple for that. So again, good for Turbine.
"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"

please explain to me how vocabulary is bad behavior ?
If you don't understand the nature of social interaction, I'm not sure how anyone here can help you to be honest.
But maybe our friend Wikipedia can help. Cursing is a violation of social etiquitte. Etiquitte is a code of behavior that delineates expectations for social behavior, according to contemporary conventional norms within a society.
Wonder if gamers would use a free form web portal where they can be who they are. .
Sigh. since I can't actually discuss the constitution, I will just say that I am glad the world doesn't work the way you think it does.
Yeah, puzzled as to why not. But suffice it to say, people don't always understand it very well. Regardless, sorry your account was suspended OP but cursing really doesn't belong in general chat...
A man is his own easiest dupe, for what he wishes to be true he generally believes to be true...

Because turbine's code of conduct says it is:
1. While participating in the Game or on the Game Website you must respect the rights of others to play and enjoy the Game world as intended by Turbine.
3. You may not use or distribute sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive language (including, by way of example, but not limited to, ethnic slurs and religious epithets), content, character names, titles, descriptions, or in-game labels (including, by way of example, but not limited to, offensive or inappropriate guild names, pet names and inscriptions).

I used to curse up a storm when I worked construction to make money for college. Until one day I actually listened to what I sounded like and realized that not only had my language deteriorated to abyssmal levels but that it just wouldn't fly in the professional world if I wanted to be taken seriously.
There's a time and place for everything. I dont' swear up a storm at work or in front of friends' grandmothers and I don't swear up a storm in public because in the end "it's not all about me".

Wow, all those deleted posts. Guess it's pointless to participate on this forum.

Im trying to figure out why mine was even deleted. I didnt even say anything political.
Cussing in a game's chat is useful in one respect: It shows me who to avoid.
Unless it's really funny.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

Strange ... If someone is that offended by words, they should enable the chat filter.
If someone doesn't know how to act in someone else's house, they should be shown the door.

using adult language on the internet has been banned. Clearly you didn't get the memo that said the internet is a kid safe environment.
I think it's halarious that people age 1-17 out of 80 or so average dictate what the people in the other 67 categories have to do.
