That has got to be a Body Blow to some members who Freq this board... Everytime you open MMORPG a Contest for Horizons is there to greet you. IT seems (to me at least) that there is a nice stream of new blood coming into the game,and some old ones like me returning to give HZ another Chance. I am glad I did. Hopefuly the contest will continue to help the game grow.

I played it for a week about a year ago when they had a 7 day trial. I believe they reset that trial so I may just give 'er another go!
Go for it. It's always best to form your own opinions based off of current data.
One problem returning players experience is a kind of disorientation as to where things are in the world (mobs in particular). For that I recommend downloading Pekkas Map Pack. You can get that from the official Community Forums.

It really is wonderful to see old faces arrive back in Istaria as well as all the new faces that are looking around for the first time !
Just DLed the client and played through the tutorial again. Still one of the better intros even if it is a ton of reading. Can't really say whether or not I feel any change as, like I said, its just the tutorial, so we'll see what happens once I get into the real game.
If you went through the biped tutorial, it's not changed since launch... But if you give the dragon tutorial a whirl, prepare to be impressed
The same love that has been given to the dragon tutorial is currently being applied to the biped tutorial, so expect to see things change for two-legged folk soon too !
Gameplay feels a little faster...but the lack of quests so far (just hit 4 so...grain of salt) is very dissapointing. Are their any storyline quests later or are the trophy hunts about it?

You know I was already to give it a 2nd try a couple months ago but no matter what I did I couldn't get the account activated through their messy web interface. Too bad too. I miss my dragon sometimes and the community was great during those massive cooperative efforts opening mines and such. Too bad the rest of the game wasn't so good.
Head to the login site (North American login site or European login site) and log in with your existing email address and password account details. Upon login you will be greeted with a message saying that your account has expired, clicking 'ok' will forward you to the subscription renewal page. Once there it is simply a case of selecting the desired subscription period from the drop-down list, entering appropriate payment details when asked for them, and then you're all set to log into the game again.
Hope you get to enjoy playing your dragon again soon, and being part of the community you remember
