Here's the downloader for the F2P client. Too bad it doesn't use EQ2's download & play system. You gotta get the whole 14Gb before you can play...

I played a trial via a friend's Refer-a-Friend code thingy... Do I need to download a whole new client or will my client update itself once the F2P conversion is up and running?
Thanks. I wasn't looking forward to ANOTHER 14GB downloading session.
It keeps asking me to choose a program to open the setup.
Thanks!
I dunno what the eff they doing, I have a sub and I cant even log in.. im guessing its the login server that is still down.
Ah yes i went to the site see its still transitioning to f2p web page.. I just saw "f2p download available" post, thought site must be up,
Hey, guys!
Waiting for the client to finish downloading. Still a long way to go :P Anyway, I was wondering how the servers work. I know they split the EU and US ones, PC and PS3 versions and PvP and PvE. I also heard somewhere you can change between PvE and PvP servers? Is that true? Can I play on the PvE server as well as the PvP server with the same character?
If not, then how's the PvP in this game? Do you recommend rolling a villain on a PvP server?
How exactly will this work for the ps3?
There are megaservers now. I play on EU there is 1 pve and 1 pvp ''server'' u can switch from one to another from ''phase shifter'' that is located in your faction main city. So u can switch them easily just like when you are switching zones in AOC ( ofc same char remains)
Not played much pvp ( mostly legends pvp as Bane and Two Face ) but seems villain population is lower than heroes.
Thanks, Grotar. I hope I'll enjoy DCUO while I wait for GW2
