Is the world big? like, very vast?
also, I have asked before, and all I ever get are "im pretty sure answers", "Is there a proportion slider at character creation?
Comments
character creation isnt available anywhere, and there is no oficial list of what is in whats not, some devs still says that what is now in beta isnt final yet...
but as far as we know, no there are no sliders, just 4 preset body types.

There is no Boob slider if thats what your asking.....
no, im not interested in a boob slider? wtf.
and "select body types" works for me.
And I swear if this is pushed back...

Why do I feel that there is an MMO somewhere, that DOES have a boob slider?
To answer your questions honestly, [A] there has been nothing revealed about world size being vast or open in the least, just reveals that appear as though the game-play is heavily instanced along pathed, restricitive maps, with a whole host of single-player rpg game-play footage and cooperative-online instanced 4-player dungeons and 8-player team warzones. There has been "mention" of this open-world insentivied pvp on this planet Ilum, but absolutely no game-play footage or details on it that would lead one to believe that it is anything other than a closed-off Wintergrasp type map.
Lastly, [B] We have seen absolutely nothing to lead us to believe that there is much diversity what-so-ever in character creation, other than a few differing body-types and rudimentary and non-distinguishing adjustments for character personalization. But yes, there appears to be an elementary slider or character creation options based on what has been shown during reveals, if you look really really close.
Conan had one... I think there were a few others as well. No answers on the size of the world? I know there are planets, but not sure how big they are, or how explorable I should say.
1. Yes, About 4 WoW sized zones per planet
2. Yes
This is 100% absolutely false. Various gameplay videos have indeed shown the worlds to be gigantic and very open. The Dune Sea on Tatooine is supposed to be a gigantic open area, and a dev walkthrough video showing Tatooine clealy showed a very huge, open world to explore and quest in.
Good try with the uninformed bashing though.
*face palm*
w00t thanks for the info guys. A big world to explore was what I was most worried about imo. I miss just running around and looking at things.
The starting worlds are tiny. But don't worry, once you get off the starting world (approx lvl 10) things open up quite a bit.
World size - This depends on the world. Some will undoubtedly be smaller and more confined than others. However, take the MMORPG.com previews of recent.... along with a host of others, they talk about how long it took just to get around some planets and that getting sprint at level 15 alleviated traversing such vast expanses but trekking across the planet still took a while.
Take that for what you will, as they only were able to try (and talk about) the game up to the end of the home world, not getting to the larger planets such as Hoth or Tatooine (where you see in the gameplay videos they use speeders to get around).
There hasn't been a lot of information on character creation released, and I don't know of any quotes stating whether or not sliders are available or not, so, I will not be able to confirm or deny for you without being able to cite some kind of source as it would break the NDA.
As Zondar was mentioning, the developer run through of Tattoinne from a few months ago is extensive enough to where you can see for yourself. Pretty sure at more than one point they're flying along on a speeder and they open up the map, and your pointer is just crawling, then they show that the map is just one of several zones on the planet. And it's not walled up like, say, AoC's old zones are, where you have a pretty big map but can only access like 30%. It's wide open and accessible in every direction.
Now, obviously city zones like Coruscant won't be like that, but you can bet they'll still be big.
OP, dismiss this as BS and a falsification for whatever weird reason the poster was saying it.
The 4 starter planets or Origin worlds are small, the size of 1-2 medium sized WoW zones.
After that you'll have the normal planets which possess explorable worldsize per planet approximating 7-9 WoW zones.
Think of the open-worldness of those planets as MMO's like LotrO or WoW, with a size like Rift or Outland for a normal planet.
SWTOR has several body types that are used as base for your avatar body choice.

lol i see a fat man jedi/sith in your future.
The following statement is false
The previous statement is true
am i really so obvious? Jedi - I don't do evil
You dont have to worry about the World size, they are just insanely huge, even better when you will have secrets treasures to find who can add some stats to ur toon
I will play the fat Sith. No armor against lightsabers better than fat.

Confined Gaming Areas are 100% True and honest based on all existing reveals and video game-play showings by Bioware, which certainly do not show any open-world exploration. Even this one lacks any showing http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/tatooine-developer-walkthrough
So, there has been absolutely no reveals to demonstrate that any world or game-play area is anything other than being a confined map that funnels a player from one location to the next; anything but open and vast.
Now, one can "Hope", but I'm speaking purely from visually concrete game-play reveals by Bioware.
You are trying too hard to be critical. Tatooine is wide and open in the video, but you can't expect people to ride 10 - 15 minutes out of a town to prove it to you. What you can do is read what the press has said, including the previews from MMORPG.com to get a good grasp on how they perceived the levels.
I canceled a long time ago. I wanted to play as a Hutt and have a girth slider...
Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?
Thank you for posting that link. Hadn't seen that video before. Though unintentional you've helped me get even more hyped about the game.
