Connection issues and server population counts

So, today I decided I would get F2P DCUO a try.  I downloaded the client, made my character then went to class.  Now, I come home, and log in and click "Play" on my created character and get thrown into the queue at around position 700.  No problem, except that the server population says "Low" even though I'm in the queue.  Whatever, so I wait until I get to the bottom of the queue which only takes about 2 minutes and I get put into the loading screen, 15 seconds later I see "Connection Lost, please relauch to try again"  This has happened twice now.  

Is this a known issue?

    I donno...they could be bouncing the server.  The server is down now.  This happened when they PS3 servers merged.  It took them a couple days but the queues went away as they ironed out the issues. 

    While I couldn't get on the PC server, I was able to get on the PS3 and they have a higher population.  So should be good in a day or so.

    This is to be expected.  DC didn't have a trial system, so everyone who wanted to try it before buying it, didn't have that option which they do have now.  I am playing it, but have to wait for some in prime time to get into the game.  Enjoying the game, it's great so far, so I bought the dlc, thus getting the premium membership.   I think this is the casual action pvp game everyone should try.   Take you time, don't burn yourself out doing the lvl grind and this well be fun for awhile.

    Yeah I played DCUO Straight for 4 hours, Max graphics for 4 hours on the U.S PVP Server PC, and it was great compared to COH, or Champions Online.

    The problem seems to be with the new patches they are deploying due to the game going FREE 2 Play, one of their techs must have spilled coffee on the server while working on it, either that, or their servers are so bad that they cant handle over 9000 players trying to try this game and it is crashing every time because its been going up and down today every since they deployed that patch yesterday I can't even get my character logged in I was like over 1000+ in quene.

    Waiting for Sony to go replace the server they spilled the coffee on lol.

    I played last night for hours with no issue, haven't tried today though.

    SoE already have new servers coming; 2,000 of them. They just have to wait for them to be delivered after winning the auctions:

    The auction consists of the original HP Blade System servers that once housed hundreds of different realms across North America and Europe


    In total, approximately 2,000 of the original server blades from about 500 different World of Warcraft realms will be auctioned off.
