First impression from a FTP

I am only level 4, so this is really first impressions.

I remapped keys (since Im a lefthander), and those fuck up royally on a regular basis. Whenever I leave or enter the starting club, or when I login. For instance I have 'H' mapped to move-backwards, but when I enter the game, the key will be mapped to BOTH move-backwards AND the original default (headlines I think). This is a small nightmare, as I have to remap every time I enter a new area.

I find it strange, that so big and obvious bugs have not been corrected after all this time (a year?).

Apart from that, the game feels a bit artificial to me. I don't like, that control is taken so much out of my hands and put on the avatar. When I in-fight, the avatar will on its own find a target, and sometimes the avatar will spin around and attack in a completely opposite direction as what I have directed it to.

My character shoots arrows and uses traps. Both of these don't actually seem to exist in the world. They just manifest with a graphical line of throwing and then they are gone. Especially my trapped mine, would logically exist in the world, but it either attaches to an enemy, or vanishes completely and illogically.

The arrows shoot an abysmally short distance (about what you could spit with a good wind in your back), making for a very unrealistic feeling.

All-in-all, and especially because of the control the game takes away from the player with a quite autonomous avatar, the game feels plastic. Even if you just mash buttons, the avatar will behave decently, making me wonder who is supposed to play this game - me or my avatar?

Other peeves:

I don't know why we in 2011 are still dragging along with MMO's without seamless worlds. What the hell? I need to see a LOAD-screen when entering a building?? That technology is some 10 years too late in my opinion.

And did we really need another EQ-/WoW-clone with quests and levels?

And why the hell can I not keep my original look? Equipment will change my cool hero into unrecogntion (I made on purpose part of my suit skin-colored, and that looks really bad in other contexts).
