Pre order question - Gamestop

in Star Wars: The Old Republic

So I was going to pre order in person from Gamestop.  I went there anad asked before I did it would I be able to get code for early access.

 

They said they have no idea what I am talking about and have no codes they know of.

 

Are the codes gone?  Should I even bother preordering it anymore?

 

Only reason was going to do it at gamestop was I have trade in credt from other games.

    I got nice plastic envelope with code in it when I preordered.

    The code is on your reciept and you have to register it at the swtor.com website. You get into early access based on when you registered it compared to when other people registered theirs.

    Oh thanks...wish they told me that it was on receipt I guess they did not know.

     

    I will do it tonight.

    Gamestop is out of codes for early access.  I was there the other day talking about the game, and the clerk told me they no longer give out the early access codes.  Make sure you are 100% certain you get the code from gamestop before you pre-order from them.  If you don't... you may be better off getting the game from Origin.

    I couldnt find my receipt about a month ago. I had just found out you needed code to get in on early access, so while I was at gamestop I asked if I could get another. Said they were out at that time.

     

    Luckily I dug around the mess of papers I have on desk, and found my original receipt.

     

    Also note...If you have a code, it is first come first serve. Some folks signed up the first day they could.

    Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.
