Hey, I was thinking of getting this game, and was wondering if you guys could suggest the best class and race in your opinion. Also, any tips would be nice.
First of all, there is no race, everyone is human (unless you consider skin colour a race). As for the best class, there isn't one. There is no 1 vs 1 pvp like WoW, everything is in teams. All of the different classes must work together to win. I have played as elementalist and warrior, and so far it feels the same in the aspect of questing. The actual gameplay is completly different because you have different jobs with each class (tanking and nuking). I will have to wait and see if it gets harder with my warrior as I progress through the game, but so far, I love playing both characters. I would recommend this game to you if you prefer a more stratigic game, rather than a time-consuming one. Although there are many aspects of the game in which you can waste many hours (farming, pvp, gvg, questing, or simply exploring). This is a great game, which attracts many different types of gamers. But, the best way to know if you like it is to buy it, there's nothing to lose since there is no monthly fee, and you could return the game if you don't like it (probably). It's your decision.

W/Mo is good for begginers. I, personally love E/Me though, it's great for owning monks and other spellcasters.
Yes, you raise your stats every level, but in GW, the attributes aren't the classic "strength, intelligence" etc... The attributes are different for each class, and they influence directly you skills/spells power
