If $15 is a lot for you, it might not be worth it.

For what types of things you can do, and what you can be, check their website. It will have a better in-depth explanation than I can fit in here.

    In Wow you can:

Play game, gain levels, earn money, progress in game

    In Wow you can't:

Live in game,  feel yourself adventurer, explore world freely.

I had fun with this game for about 6 months, which is better than any console game I've ever played, so I feel the price was worth it. WoW might not have the staying power of some other MMO's, but the Fun Factor makes up for it. If you're new to MMO's this is a good game for you as it has a decent mix of PvP and PvE. It doesn't really excel at either, but it'll give you a good taste of both. You'll eventually get to a point where if you are hardcore, you'll have blown through all the content and want to move on, or if you're casual, that the time sinks involved will force you elsewhere. I figure that time frame out to be about 6 - 8 months for most people. It is a fun game to play around with for a little while, and doesn't require a lot of your time for the most part, so I'd definitely reccommend it to anyone who asks me about it, even though I myself have moved on. ::::24::

I have played tons of MMORPG's AC2, AO, Neocron, City of Heros, Eve, EnB, DAOC, EA, Ect.

Of all those games I would say mabye AO and EVE have anything near the depth that WOW has. None of them have anything near the amount of Group Instances or population. I would recommend this game any day of the week, sure it has its problems but all Online games do. Is it worth the 15 bucks a month? Considering that all games recently are around that amount I would say HELL YES.

P.S      if you buy the game and decide to go Alliance, please come to the Illidan server.  The Alliance on that server need help badly, most good guilds/players no longer play there. Its a sad day when the most infamous and least respected guild in WOW history (DIE) is one of its best guilds left on the Alliance side....

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith

WoW is the game which LACKS depth to me.  Combat system, crafting, PvP, all very basic in WoW that even a 7 year old can find inviting and very user friendly.  Infact if you want depth Everquest 2, DAoC, EQ, SWG, even UO overshadows WoW by leaps and bounds.  However, depth doesn't always equate to fun which WoW has alot of it.

Nothing, short of the back story, is original in WoW.

So yeah WoW is fun but it really lacks the depth of other MMORPGs.

True but he is just talking about the monthly rate.   All it takes is to have some interest in a game to play it and no one is forced to keep paying the monthly rate.  Cancelling an account is nothing like cancelling AOL :)
