I'm super pumped. I think I'm going to skip going to the gym this weekend so I can sit on my ass and play swtor every minute that I can. That's right...swtor > personal health. I'm also planning on sending many bug reports out and being the best little beta tester I can, just in case bioware actually takes any of that into account for future testing. They probably don't, but I'm still going to be an apple-polisher just in case.
When it's a little over a month to launch, I'd hope you wouldn't be finding any unknown bugs. As others have said, these weekend tests are more likely stress tests at this stage.
Wow, how about that download? Good God, that took forever. Anyway, I'm prepared for today to be the longest day of my life as I anxiously await Friday.
I had a friend get invited who made an account and hasn't checked it until I told him to today and guess what beta invite.
I have another friend who has no intention of playing the game (gf won't have any of the mmo madness so he sticks to fps' and stuff so he can play for 30 mins and log off)Find out he got an invite.
The mmorpg gods are mad at me or they are teaching me a lesson in patients. I have been patient for 5+ years...
I'm happy for all you guys who got your invite hope you enjoy your time and hopefully I will see some of you at launch.

IKR, been a LONG time since I cared this much what day of the week it is lol.
Im just really thankful they use random invites, and not a 1 chance per person thing.. Luck has favored me again appearently :P
I will frequent the tester forums and drop in my opinions and feedback.
I am a good tester.
That is... if I can put the game down long enough to do anything productive other then just play play play play play lol
Have to resist the urge to actually play classes I want to play at Launch.
I figure, if I can completely enjoy myself playing a class I really don't have interest in playing at launch, then this game will be golden for me.
I just wish there wasn't a NDA! Tomorrow can't come fast enough.
I'm completely with you on the class choice... I'm planning on a Jedi and a Bounty Hunter for launch, but I'm still debating about what to toy around with this weekend. I'm kinda thinking Trooper... which way are you leaning?
Everyone in this thread that got a beta invite is going to do one thing and one thing only. Play the game to see if they want to buy it. All the people saying they are going to report bugs and this and that are lying. All they cared about was getting beta access so they can see if they want to buy the game or skip it. You noobs make me sick. Oh and before the poster that says, this guy must be butt hurt he didnt get beta access, ive been in beta for two months now.
Not everyone. I've ordered 1 CE and 2 regulars. And I would report any bugs I would find, but from personal experience and some guild mates vids I doubt I would find any in the limited time I have. A person who jumps to assumptions about large groups of people are worse then "noobs", they suck at key life skills.

Not true at all, actually---at least in my case. I'm already sold on the game and I have every intention of buying and subscribing. I'm a guaranteed sale for them. I ain't gonna lie---I just want to play the freakin' game because I've been waiting forever to get my hands on it. But if I see a bug, damn sure I'll report it. Anything that makes the game better come launch day is good in my opinion.

Talk about generalization, for one I have 2 pre-orders bought and paid in full. 2 I knew from day one that I was going to be subbing to the game. 3 this is not a bug test but a server stress test. If you so called general testers have been doing your jobs, we stress testers shouldn't find any bugs in the content that we are going to be playing. Unless some manage to power level up to mid to endgame content.

I'm doing what you hate and there's nothing you can do about it! =D
On a serious note I plan to do both of those things because:
a) The box price is a tad hefty and I need a decent impression of the investment I'd be making
b) I can't expect myself to play and escape the experience impressionless...
c) Since they are, in fact, allowing me to potentially save money by extending this offer to me, I feel that I should abide by the intent of beta process and offer restitution in the form of my bug reports.
So, you silly sith-logician, it's not a matter of absolutes and I'm proud to be the grey/gray area.

First off, fail troll -1. Second I actually do test games and will report anything I come across. I like to test games over going out and adventuring. I also will play my class then offer feedback about it. I even report typos in quests. Don't make assumptions on what others are going to do. Not everyone uses betas to test the game to see if they like it or not.
Just a fail troll, move along nothing to see here.
Got my invite today, but having problems RSVPing. It just loops back to swtor.com/tester when I accept. Is the site lagging or should I report the issue?

yep :')
I can't speak for anyone else, but I always report bugs as well as suggestions and criticisms. One reason I do this is to get a feel for the responsiveness of the developers. During the Rift beta you could see how quickly they responded, and the interaction was surprising. I don't know what to expect here, and I would think that the majority of bugs have been reported and/or fixed by now.
Thats cool but it's kinda late now that skyrim is coming out in 5 hours.I ll not have time for these boring mmos. After Skyrim diablo 3.Simply because i dont like to pay monthly fees to play a game i already purchased.
as usual, no invite. Can't say I'm surprised since it seems to be the same folks getting in over and over. should be pre-orders who get the beta invites.

Don't worry about it, man. Beta is no big deal. And it's always best to come into a polished and bug-free game not knowing what to expect.
