I downloaded the new Battlefield 2 patch onto my computer the other day and it seemed to make my Bf2 worse. When I used the map filters on searching for a server, none of them worked. And at certain points in the game it seemed to lag a bit more, not latency lag but processing lag. And a few other things. Anyone else who got the patch have any problems?

Ive ran into severe framerate issues at times since the new patch.
To be honest, I haven't seen any positive noticable difference from the pre patch to post patch.
Only good news is that Ive gotten great pings since installing the game period

The new bf2 patch causes servers to have massive memory leaks. They are working fast to fix it but for now its gonna be pretty bad =/

Yeah I ran into some major framrate issues too. Hey enigma, how'd u get your Bf2 stats as your sig?

Last night I was playing on a full 64 player server. I saw a jeep flying sideways through the air lol at about 10 miles an hour. Trying to shoot players was like shooting those pop-up mannequins like on a S.W.A.T. team firing range lol people kept dissapearing. It was still damn fun though

I havent had any problems with it, its been better for me. The menu is alot better now when searching through Multiplayer games and recently Ranked servers have gone up significantly in number and most dont lag nearly as bad as they did a few weeks ago.

I assumed you go to the BFHQ tab then to class kit and then click on the locked weapon.
Im a LC so i should be able to unlock the medic's SMG

i dunno how to unlock, but the jeep flying is pretty funny. yea i won an award during a game, and it crashed and i lost my award =(
What happened for me was I logged in last night and I got the notification. Now I'm not sure if it came along with LC (which also I was officially notified of at the same time) or if it was one of the badges I got. I remember someone driving over one of my AT-mines and bingo I got some badge. Next time I logged in I got a weapon unlock
I chose the M95 sniper rifle (pierces the windows on the helicopters
) I have a strong feeling I got the weapon unlock because I had gotten my first badge in each different profession.
Hmm ill look into that

It can sometimes take BFHQ a little while to update after you reach Lance Corporal. I got the message in-game one night but it didn't update at BFHQ until the next day. When I did log on the next day a message popped up saying that I had been promoted and gave me the option to choose my new weapon (I got the Engineer's automatic shotgun myself
) and now I can just select it when I spawn on servers. If you didn't see the message something might be messed up. However, just to tell you, I had the Lance Corporal message pop up twice in-game. The first time it never updated BFHQ because I was disconnected mid-game (guess it hadn't sent the info or something yet). Second time I logged out normally and it worked fine.

lol i won something like 8 games in a row as commander so i gained MAD exp, so i gained ranks faster than others but my score did not go up. Now I am a Lance Corporal, and when i jump to my player in the leader boards, everyone with the same global score as me is a private first class.
