Ultima VII - Adam Smith Article at RPS about it and its Virtual World feeling

"Ultima VII was the first game I played that made me feel I was part of a world that didn’t revolve around me and I believe it remains one of the best examples of its type. It’s an RPG that starts with a murder investigation rather than a dungeon crawl and that immediately marked it out."

If you missed it read more about one of the very best Virtual RPG Worlds here:

Great article. I feel very blessed that I was able to play all of those old games from as far back as the '80s, as they came out, in their original inranations, with no bias when they were still fresh and new. I cherish that history because going back to those old classics now just isn't the same as it used to be. I am glad that I have those memories to look back on and I pity those who never got the opportunity. Yes, you youngsters really missed out. 8)

    Beautifully said.

Games can exceed the sum of their parts when the only walls keeping you in are those of your imagination.
