Hi,
I wanted to play an mmo serious for some time but I didn't know whitch one! So I needed to form an opinion.
After months of trying out, testing, reading reviews, talking asking, meddling, viewing screens, watching movies, reading faqs and bottering people to play with their account I finally managed to narrow it down...
For me the coice is between 3 mmo's right now:
-World of Warcraft
-Guild Wars
-Eve-Online
I'm more inclined to play eve because I'm a huge sci-fi fan. But on the other hand World of Warcraft boasts more players than eve. But then again Guild Wars feature guild wars (du'h!) in which I'm very interested as I am really social but on the other hand war-loving.
My profile: trader, social, non-agressive, megalomanic, strategic genious, hard-tempered, steady nerves, persistent, too much principals, a litlle too serious, roleplayer, empirebuilder, going all the way always...
So what would you advice to be my sort of game?
I don't care about the costs or the time I spend on it (min 2hours/day).
While your at it what kind of character (race, class, ...) would fit me acording to you? And why? Just to be extra sure.
I'm posting this in general discussion and in the mmorpg.com forums of wow, gw and eve just to get the broader perspective.
TNX!

WoW is like, MMORPG for Dummies. Awesome game for someone new to these type of games though.
Everything is easy, well documented, and streamlined. Character developments is pretty much null - only 3 talent trees for per class, with usually one tree being total gimped.
PvP is weak, uninspiring, and totally unoriginal.
PvE endgame pretty much sucks too seeing as you will be raid MC, BWL, SCHOLO, and STRATH, over and over and over again...
I bought GW and realy played it hard for 2 weeks.....and was bored to tears. The lack of comunity and random experiences are what I found boring. Also no matter what class of char you build, when your in town mingling or getting trained, your gonna see loads of other players in your same class that look just like your char. So there isnt any indivduallality either.
I tryed EVE for a weekend and trust me I love the sci-fi stuff but again I found that I was bored with it quick. Just cruising around in space from place to place seemed tedious.
With WOW there is a little of the above now and then, except the space travel of course..lol.. But lots to explore and some good comunity.
Played all three games.
EVE and WOW Beta, and I must say they are deepply different.
Judging from your profile, id say go with EVE. Its a long lived strategy game, with vast large scale battle potential. Graphics are second to none. You should try the 14 day trial. It is a pretty hardcore game experience, its quite complex.
WOW is perfectly polished, and gives you a very nice feeling. They have thought about most things, compared to other MMO's. I just reactivated my WOW account and closed down my EVE online Account. EVE is a mix of Blade runner and Alien, in atmosphere, and WOW is alot more happy going..
Guild Wars is alot more like Diablo, and more fast paced PVP arena centered.
Id say WOW is your best bet, if you are an MMO virgin.
