Where to download trial?

amappalaamappala Member UncommonPosts: 159

I want to try this game using the 14-day trial promo.
I read the CoH website and it says they will send a key when I send my email address.
But where do I download to try the game?
Do I need to find someone who already owns the game to install into my computer?

They will probably give you a link in the email they send you.

Yes, the email will contain a link to download the client.

Basically, you download the City of Heroes Updater Client. When you run the updater, it will connect to the servers and download all of the game files. Approx. 1.1GB total for all the game files and patch files.

i tried getting a key of 4 of my email accounts (not because i wanted a lot of keys) because every key they sent me was "expired"

i mean if the free trial is over, thats one thing, but then why do they still have that page up and why are they still sending people the keys?

i feel dumb, i should have tried to make the account after i downloaded the game, damnit :/

but anyone know why this is happening?

According to one of the dev's on the COH Forums, the trial is over.

Yeah everyone the free trial promotion has ended. I tried to get an account for a friend of mine, then I whined at the customer support people and they informed me that it is no longer available.

If it's got blood, I can kill it.

I believe that the trial on their site is now closed
