Instead of being slightly dissapointed i was ... Extremely dissapointed

I had high expectations and I already have cancelled my preorder!!! Severely Dissapointed!

1. The camera sucks big time. When you have to turn its a knee jerk reaction there is no fluid movement with camera angles and the running  motion of the characters suck. They should have spent more time on these 2 items than the voiceovers.

2. The story is okay but I got bored fast no matter what option you chose it just changed the response but didn't really do anything to the overall feel of the game. The option's are just there for kicks and comedy!

3. The combat wasn't as fluid as I hoped it would be and didn't like the cooldown on the skills. You hit one skill and had to wait for the skill flash to come down before you could do another.

4. The mobs were nothing special at all. Rock monsters and some space dudes. The combat just didn't appeal to me at all.

5. Finally Like someone else mentioned when  normally Play mmos there is something that makes you want to login , but Star wars just didn't have that feeling. Its missing something just doesn't have that AWE factor that other mmos have.

If the game appeals to you then more power to you < I just don't see myself paying $15 dollars a month for this type of linear game! Good luck to all !

I would give you a guest pass to SWOTR, but then I wouldn't be able to find a way to live with myself afterwards....

Well if you dont get immersed intoo the stories, i can imagine that there is no reason to log in but mindlessly grinding (as with all other MMO's)

For me as well as most people i talked to, the reason to log in is to continue the story, to continue our own personal adventure, to get immersed intoo the world by biowares storytelling.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

For every cancelled preorder this weekend, im betting there were 2 preorders. Good luck on your search for something you probably wont find if this didnt meet your expectations. And maybe play beyond the first planet and learn how to change mouse sensitivity if your camera bugs you, because I promise that was your failing, not the games.

Lol beta isn't a free trial man, it's there to test, find bugs, the last few weekend betas where stress test so things are going to feel kind of buggy due to server overload, I sware somepeople need a clue on what BETA means.

If you don't think this entire game was a rush job,it took them until Monday ,the very last beta day to get the game to actually logout properly. Before that it was a combination of Alt+F4 but usually cntrl+alt+del and end process in task manager.

How something as easy to notice and simple as that could go that long is amazing.

My expectations going in was a mild 6/10,i came out with pretty much that identical score.

3 biggies Combat structure,player/class structure and crafting are just not done well enough to keep me interested.

If there ever was a complete flatline game this is it,it pretty much does everything 6/10 right across the board, nothing really horrible but nothing really good.If the game had of done any of the 3 main biggies well,i would have stuck around for awhile.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I only did the beta this weekend to troll people, because I was sure this game was going to suck eggs.

I'm going to pre-order because what I saw was very impressive. I really liked the voice acting, and the story lines I played (Jedi Knight/ Imperial Agent) were both very well done. The game wasn't perfect, and I expect there will be smoothing and polishing that goes on for the first few months after launch, as is the case with every game.

The combat seemed, at first glance, to be kinda meh, then I actually started to pay attention. there are subtle annimations mixed in through out that give it a very nice look. The OP mentions having to wait for a global cooldown before he could hit another button. I found this to be kinda cool because I could watch more of what was going on, or re-position myself quickly and not miss a CD. I liked the pace of the fighting.

I didn't do any crafting, or PvP, so I wont offer anything on those. I was too busy enjoying the story lines and killing stuff with mah light saberz.

Look, we know that you have already made up your mind to hate the game, but come on.  That problem was simply a byproduct of something that was updated for the weekend testers.  I have been in the beta since February and have had no problems logging out.  It has nothing to do with it being rushed.  I don't get why you so badly want people to believe stuff like that.
