What to play?

I am trying to find more mmorpgs to play and i am finally going to switch to the download clients. (claps to self) I need a bit of info though.
- Do the severs in games like RO all link together? example: If I join a private server does it connect to the game that others pay for?
- Will anyone recommend some games I should try?

Well as far as recommending I can't help ya there. Im currenly in limbo waiting for DnL (dark and light) and Fallen Earth.
As far as Private servers and the pay to play servers. They in no way connect to each other. The private servers are ran by individuals like us, and at least on this site are considered a no no even to talk about. They are considered by most morally wrong, since your stealing from the developers and techs who run them, and most game company's crack down on it. There have been numerous private servers shut down because of it.
If you lookin for a free to play game. Since I take it you are lookin for that you might check out Roma Victor, it wont be out for at least several months though.
Playing Fallen Earth.
I really do not care if I pay or not because either way you get what you pay for. I just keep seeing all these servers or free games with mutiple servers and i don't know if they connect or not. (I feel very stupid)

Don't feel stupid like they say you got to learn somewhere.
There are plenty of post from all sorts of people who play alot of games on this site. My suggestion is just browse it to your hearts content, oh and welcome to mmorpg.com
