MMORPG.COM News: Star Trek Online Website Launches

Perpetual Entertainment today launched the official website for Star Trek Online. The new website includes an expanded official FAQ for the game and some brief dev blogs.

    i can honestly say im not a huge star trek fan.. i enjoy the shows when i catch them... but i can not wait for this game... i think it could be something that brings new life to the boring stale mmo style we have been recieving lately.. i read an interview with the head guy of the project on a web site.. ill post the link if i find it again..but he made it sound as though they are going through alot to make it not simialar to anything out.

    I'm SUCH a loser, I can't wait for this game. I'm not a huge fan of the whole star trek thing either but it seems like such wondeful history and a great story foundation for an MMO to build on, it's a long road ahead but I view it very much the same way I did when I was younger and was waiting for SWG to be released. Very excited here.

    Star Trek -- sure there is some good stuff for a MMORPG. I'm skeptical though, even more after reading the STO FAQ.

    As of July 2005, the development team is in pre-production.

    Launches: Q1 2006

    The Q1 of 2006 refers not to the game but to the launch of the definitive site ;).
