GM Theia here. Thought I'd pop in and say hello - hello!!! 
Since this is an important Forum for the MMO world and some of our community ask that we have a presence I've registered this very morning and am looking forward to being able to answer any questions you have. If you have any that is

Errr no thanks we'll rather use separate threads for each subject we want to discuss instead of this one just so you don't have to doublecheck how a forum works.
Umm very sorry about that was just trying to say hello all, I do know how Forums work, but ok - noted.
But since this thread is solely about GM Theia, how about a few questions about GM Theia:
1.) What guild is your main in? What's his name?
As a GM I had to give up all title including guild. I do still play but only solo and only to keep my hand in. I've not been an active player for maybe 12 months now and pretty much stopped when I reached SHC, GM's are allowed no guild as I said - so whilst you might see me running around in-game, it's pretty rare these days and when I do it's mainly for testing.
2.) Do you give people free gold? Or your main?
No and no - what would I do with it? Since I don't play anymore.
3.) In what way are you getting paid for your work?
Handsomely. Think that's a bit private tho so not going to go into details about - if that's ok.
4.) Do you have contact with Henrik? Does he lie into your face like he lies into player faces too?
Yes, frequently, more recently though as we've been testing a lot and Henrik has been working with us through the night with the rest of the Focus Group. That way the bugs are ready in the morning for when the Devs wake up and get in. I've not known Henrik to lie to me - ever.

Not sure and it's an impolite question so I've never asked. Younger than me.

Don't think there's anything impolite about the asking how old is Talwin or how much you're getting paid. Those questions come almost naturally given the current events with regards to GM and forum/IRC moderation, specially with Talwin behaving like a 12 year old kid and constantly blatantly abusing his GM power.
Also I think the how much you get paid question came because of the fact that SV was known for having unpaid moderators/GM's thus resulting in very unprofessionnal way of handling things.
The tone on these forums isn't the same as on the official MO forums where you can just delete any post that you judge 'impolite' or negative, so expect to get roughed up a bit, if you're fine with that then no problem.
Few mistakes here - let me try to correct

Talwin is a fully grown adult - I personally think it's a rude question which is why I havn't asked it. Maybe that's an English thing - I wasn't implying that it was a rude question from you - so sorry if you thought that, didn't mean to imply that you were rude.
Talwin is a Mod and not a GM and has no in-game powers. His job is to look after the forums.

No, really, your reason may be valid for asking the question but I'm not going into that - I work fulltime on the team and am more than pleased with the way I am looked after and the scope I'm allowed in my role.

Honestly the only threads I have ever closed have had blatant racism in them or RL stuff which is of course isn't fair to anyone. Total number of threads I've closed in the last year? ~4.

I don't play MO, just never appealed. I'm sure it's a great game. But I have to say Theia, if you are who you say you are, and you do what you say you do, you are one brave individual for coming here and opening yourself up to some of the posters here. /hat tip

Welcome aboard! It's always great to add new voices to the forum. To be honest it was growing just a bit stale recently and having an official member of teh StarVault team should certainly help! I always felt that it was a huge mistake by the former community manager to ask his players to come here and defend the game but to never openly post here himself.
I may not agree with your perspective on many thing, but as long as your willing to engage in open discussion you start off with 2 thumbs up in my book!

No one here can truly harm you. That privilege, as always, is reserved solely for the self.
If you walk about a bit look down occasionally. Paper is spread about the floor for good reason at juvenile gatherings such as this.
Age has nothing to do with it; at 60 I'm still juvenile at times. Proof of life, smell to the contrary notwithstanding.

How many players are now active in MO? I was playing for few months and can say that this game is something like eve online (when you lose you lose everything on you) and it could be a sandbox dream if there was not so many bugs in past . Is it now much better?
And what's your definition of "full grown adult" worth if you award that title to Talwin? Fail PR is fail.
SV should finally lay off the child labour.
The Mod Team and the In-Game support teams are completely different.
As a GM - i can make/deleted threads and posts but I rarely do as the mod Team covers that area.

I've already said I'm an old duffer - so not sure where the child labour comment comes from..
If I had to pick a descriptor for the age of the support team I'd say 30 something’s mainly with the odd old sod like me.
The youngest guy (I think) on the team is 26.
So the child-labour comment is both inaccurate and a little bit misleading.

Isn't Discord the dude who gave 5000 gold to a known hacker and cheater? Or was that Gradius? Or you? I forgot because you're all the same bunch to me. Did you expect to come here and clear up 2 years of incompetence, fraud and sheer insolence with a few forum postings?
Seriously.. XD Btw StarVault wanted to let us know about those "grey areas" of posting on inofficial forums some time ago, when's that happening? After this attempt fails?
Talwin is 18-19 right now, depending on when his birthday is (duno exact day). Not something I would call full grown adult to be honest. Not sure I like official SV staff here though, nothing personal, but I'd rather have a forum free of the official PR and excuses, enough of that on the mofo already (despite me being sure that there are several SV people browsing this daily under anonymous nicks.. but hey, ignorance is a bliss!).
However, good move to not chose talwin/discord/dev for this role but a more neutral person!
Odd, I always felt that once you were capable of breeding you should be treated as an adult. Further, when you fill an adult role in an adult society you deserve to be treated accordingly.
What kind of adult will vary based upon individual perceptions about that adult's behaviors within whatever constitutes the relative social constructs.

Indeed, it is often down to personal perception, mine being that I could a person for adult at about age of 22, which of course can vary a lot depending on persons maturity, which Talwin displayed little of. Not sure I'd agree on the breeding part thou, since then you are an adult at age of what.. 14? I consuder adulthood to be state of mind, perception and behavior, not breeding :P

I must admit when I first saw the title of the thread, I felt a bit of trepidation. Syndic (formerly of the Crimson Imperium Reborn) was throwing out accusations with your name attached a year and a half ago, so I had some concern about a false flag operation.
Hopefully your time on the forums will be productive.
P.S.@ Mordrag: Next time you go to the barber/hairdresser, ask them their age and income, and observe the reaction. If it isn't immediately relevent, many people do find it a rude question. If you have a problem with Talwin's behavior, discuss his behavior, not his age.

With TC all but finished (we're expecting a small patch later today to resolve tower HP issues) the team are now firmly fixed on the AI update. This will allow already developed Monster Packs to enter the game as well as dungeons both open now and currently closed to reach their proper potential.
So what else is coming soon(tm)?
AI - New GUI - new Magic - dungeons and mobs. I KNOW these are coming because I'm working on elements of them already. I KNOW that more entered the game than just TC in the last patch because I tested some of the new features.
I can understand the disappointment compared to the heady days prior to launch but being on the inside has helped me understand the challenges the team face (many and difficult ) and I am here to help them, SV and the wider community if at all possible.
There will of course be people that I am unable to sway who will have from their perspective wholly legitimate complaints and have had a bad experience - especially if you were there at the beginning.
But time moves on and MO is improving, incrementally not as fast as we'd all like of course but there is traction and interesting things are happening!

What about everything that came out of Henriks mouth and never actually was implemented, bad Moderator team experince (them banning people not by rules but just because they dislike someone), or the game constantly screwing one over and over with bad features?
As raff01 above said, it is not one problem per se, but the experince with SV and their game as a whole which left some very negative feelings in some former fans.
Also, I think we don't need to play around with words, the phrase "cool story" has nothing to do with telling said story, I think you are aware of that if you are even remotely active on the net
Are you here to advertise or to actually provide non censored feedback to SV and community with players? Those things been promised for over a YEAR ago. Sorry, but I am sceptical to them ever seeing the light.
Hope your visit here is wonderful and just ignore some of the users here. They can get really crazy here at times. Haha. Anyway nice to meet you GMTheia.
Things have changed - we now have a Testing Team and whilst TC wasn't released perfect - it didn't have the game breaking bugs that we've seen in previous releases - the suggestion of a player based testing team is an old one and it is a pity that it wasn't picked up on or actioned earlier.
We all want to see more content in MO and now - not six months from now. SV is however now making good progress both visibly and behind the scenes too.
And in truth I remember those being on the roadmap a long-time ago. So again, another bulls-eye comment. But people were expecting Territory Control in the New Year - it launched much earlier than expected (in no small part to the thru-the-night testing team that would have a fresh list of bugs waiting for the devs when they get in to work in the morning. Anyone doubting SV's commitment should note that Henrik went into Night-Shift mode and was in channel with us for the majority of the testing. They worked through the two weekend prior to TC launch as well.
AI will be a big re-code. But expect the mobs to do the sorts of things the Kimuru can now - a showcase for future abilities that AI mobs will have.
I understand the scepticism - I really do - but as I said earlier plans were de-railed by serious issues that took way too long to fix for everybody - SV included. I believe that the Test Team has addressed some of this; hence the more rapid progress we’re currently seeing.
SV will be looking at these threads as well (I'm sure) - so just by having these debates/discussions we are actually generating useful feedback.

I am certain SV been keeping an eye on this forum for a long time, but mostly labeling all the criticism as trolling instead of admitting the game has flaws. Hopefully you can provide better feedback to them, and thanks for answer above about features.
If you knew SV as well as some here do, you would meet anyone they send with something sharp pointed at them as well. After all the lies and coverup, I prefer going by "guilty till proven otherwise" approach. And yes, if someone came over to my house from a company which been screwing me constantly over, they would not get a much warmer welcome then here.
What are your thoughts on the widespread GM corruption in the game?
Do you honestly feel an ex-underwear model is qualified to design an online game and compete with real developers who have had years of training?
Why does it take years for gigantic bugs to be removed from the game such as the FAIL bug?
Why do you feel this game with its revolutionary concepts has managed to maintain less than 5000 subscribers?
How do you explain successful indie games like Terrerria and minecraft that have over a million sales and yet MO is pretty much in the basement? Do you feel it has anything to do with the quality of the content in the game?
What are your thoughts on the many items that were advertised to be in the game and yet, years later are not?
Do you feel it is wrong for the community to think that Henrik is a liar after everything that has gone on?
Why do horses still float in the air in the game?
Why is there always a major dupe bug after each patch or update?
Do you honestly feel that SV is handling the duping approprietly?
