i want to get EQ2(please dont post about the game)
i need to convince my parents to get this game
they were born befor computers and my dad just figured out how to use the inter net a few days ago
my mom knows computers pretty good
they dont like the idea of monthly fees
not counting blackmail and other stupid ideas how can i convince them
i can also pay for the monthly fee
Comments
Buy it. Pay for it.
You don't need them to do that....

first question is, can you buy the game and afford the monthly fees out of your own pocket without asking your parents to pay for it? if you can and you have your own computer, go for it, if not... well... then i would have to agree with your parents, i think its a nad idea for parents to indulge their kids on a mmorpg these days, life in school is hard enough without having unwanted vices, grades, girl friends, soccer practice, i thank god that there were no mmorpg´s of note during the time i was in highschool, then i got to college and everquest made me its b*tch, now that i married i can indulge a little while the wife is looking the other way
All ur Mountain Dew is belong to me.
i can do all the paying and i have my own computer
the only problem is that i need them to bring me to the store and the closest gamimg store is at least 20 miles away
Wow, all that time and my post got deleted...
I guess I'll just paraphrase: Show your parents the money, have an honest talk with them, and let them know it's your money. Make sure you play the "I know you're my parents and you're just looking out for my best interest" card. But let them know you're ready to spend your money on how you see fit. Always keep professional and collected, don't act like a 14 year old kid who wants a new toy. Maturity is the key--fake that, and you can get it. :P
Also, if they still don't believe it's a good investment of money, there have been a lot of good arguments on these forums made recently about the price of MMORPGs and how cheap they actually are.

Why are you reading this? This is crap compared to what's above.
Well if you've tried everything then what do you expect from us? Making mistakes(like buying EQ2 ) is part of growing up, best advice I can give you is try to get your parents to realize that.
