xfire stats for SWTOR very impressive

I know xfire is controversial but none the less it is impressive that SWTOR is number 2 MMO right now and it is only in beta on 6 servers.  If this is any indication when they launch with a huge number of servers they will be making a serious new high for any MMO sort of WoW....

You can already guess the mass high inital pop just off pre-orders alone.  The real question is how long it'll last and what the pop will stabilize at.  Rift had a high initial pop then it dropped significantly if not drastically.  It will be intresting to see what the nuimbers are after TSW, GW2, TERA, ArchAge are released.

It would be interesting to see how swtor will affect other mmos, not during the launch but after when the subs decline.  I would guess the opposite effect; instead of people returning to their old mmos or trying new one's out (new to them anyway) people would stop playing mmo's altogether after realizing the basic rules of an mmo are not as entertaining when the 'ref' isn't constantly taking bribes and bending rules.

I never saw a purple cow.
I never hope to see one.
But I can tell you anyhow
I'd rather see than be one.

I just think it is interesting how well it is doing from beta testing alone which is only one 6 servers.  I think I read they planed to launch on something like 80 servers.  If they really do see 10x what they see on beta this will be a REALLY big number one that would rival even wow.  Right now they are seeing almost 10% of wow.

I think the next few weeks will be interesting to see how high this can go...

And of course the next metric will be how low it falls :(

It was on 16 servers, 6 US servers and 10 European servers.

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

Everyone in Rift uses Raptr now btw. X-fire is sort of useless because they spam you with invites for stuff you have no clue about and it only tracks your in game time like 50% of the time.

    I strongly recommend using Raptr.
