Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

Looking for a game.

Ok so now im hooked.

MMORPG, the one thing that you dont want to waste your entire life on, and still, its so fun :P

Though I have some thoughts.

Anyone played Jump Gate? I played it a long time ago.
The thing I liked about it was first of all, you need some kind of skills to manage killing other ppl or AI.
The second was the artifact searching, you could spend hours looking for artifacts. The cool thing was that you couldnt just drive around looking, you had to make some sort of search pattern in X, Y & Z. Going back and forth looking @ your radar trying to find something.

Then when you found something it could be a uniqe item. I mean, it could be an engine no one has in the entire game and having that you get alot of power @ the financial/trading market.

Then we had the guild wars against ppl, stealing the other factions space-zones etc. etc.

Tell me, does anyone know of a game like this? It doesnt have to be in space. Just that there is alot of things to do. I tryed Eve, but it was to .. "click here and wait, click that and watch". I've also started playing Saga Of Ryzom, which has a great community and all, but still, I want this whole "fight for the terretory" thingy and those uniqe items are unbreakable.

If you know anything that could chear me up, please speak up, and make a heart happy once more ::::31::

You could try DAOC. New servers have just been brought up so you won't have to worry about being behind. You can get a 14 day trial from Fileplanet or Fileshack so it's worth a try. It's got RvR, I have yet to play it but from what I've read its a very fun PvP system.

The new DAOC servers rock... Im having a great time already playing on Gareth. The new catacombs content is great too but it isnt nessecary. I suggest that everyone who is looking for a new game at least give the DAOC trial a go its great fun and the new servers are great cause its like joining a brand new game. There are people everywhere.... Enough babbling go get the trial or buy daoc now.

I think you might like Darkspace - its more tactical oriented than JG is, but the ship to ship combat actually involves skill, aim, and strategy. While you can think of JG as an air combat simulator, DS is more parrallel to naval combat. Come say hi @ www.darkspace.net :)

I loved Jumpgate and for me Star Wars Galaxies more than filled the gap once it had spaceflight. There's nothing like artifacts but there are tons of things to do in the game that more than make up for that. And space combat feels just like jumpgate except there is no newtonian physics at all while JG had partial.

From what I understand there's another sci-fi MMO in the works that's going to try to Carbon Copy Earth & Beyond but I doubt that'll jazz you anymore than it does me since I found E&B to be lacking in tons of areas (not to mention it too was point and click).

Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.

    Still in: A couple Betas
