To me the story sounds cheesier than Biowares old masterpiece and more in style with Obsidians game.
Still, it is hard to judge a story on a vid like this.
Bioware should have made this game (instead of TOR in my opinion, NWN is their best game, not KOTOR).
I am glad however that PW bought up Cryptic, they at least realized the potential and forced Cryptic to spend twice the time making the game with a lot better budget so we wont get another STO, which was Cryptics plan from the start.
I hope it will be fun enough, I ain't happy about Forgotten realms 4,0 at all but the setting is still one of the classic RPG setting and even if it have most of the common fantsy generics in it it is still very interesting in a way no world made for a computer game is.
Noticably absence from the video ? Anyone ? Cryptic ! If it's not mentioned by MMORPG or written under the video at youtube, you'd have no idea who the developer was. Things have gotten so bad with Cryptic they don't want to paste their name to any work, for fear of driving away customers. LMAO. Same gimped engine is obviously in use for this game as was for their last 2 endevours. Looks like even the same combat animations are recycled, mostly likely even the skills.
Looks promising. Best part about it is being set in the Forgotten Realms, which of all things should have been the first MMO ever released...so much content to explore and basically written for a developer.
Can't wait! (If you at least make the graphics and controls like the tekken version of AD+D long, long ago, you win..anything beyond that is a plus)
The trailer gives us nothing on the game itself, a standard fantasy mmo/rpg needs to sell us on specific unique features right from the start, like GW2's pve and combat mechanics, or Kingdom of Amalur's amazing combat, or TERA's combat and political system, instead we get a trailer that could be to any fantasy mmo or rpg of the last decade, Cryptic, I know you well, you have everything to prove, and your first shot is a miss.
I think it looks promising, but I need to see some gameplay. I don't need fancy graphics, and I'm a big fan of D&D, so if they've captured the 4e ruleset well, I'm buying it.
This is a much much older trailer and much better, I was just shocked at how similar they were and would have thought the Neverwinter team could have come up with something more stylish and original.
I am not knocking the game cos I am looking forward to seeing it and playing it, was just shocked at how similar the vids are.
Everything from this trailer smacks of amateurism. The voice acting, the graphics, the story line etc. It looks more like Runescape 2 than a Neverwinter game.
Yet another D&D title that is shamlessly raped to squeeze some dollar out of it.

I think the main focus of the game isn't going to be what Cryptic provides, but the tool provided so that players can make campaigns. Kind of like old school D&D. There were campaigns provided for the players by TSR, but then players could make their own campaigns too. It's potentially open ended enough to actually be a good game that does what Cryptic should have started doing when they made Champions.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

This ^ . Everyone can produce a reallly super dee duper video and then the play graphics are blah. I prefer the present without the wrapper please.

I don't want to be rude, but HoMM3 had better graphis in its videos...
Better to be crazy, provided you know what sane is...
I cant see youtube videos in my work :'(
What is the problem with gametube? ='(
this was released almost 2 months ago
Looks like the same generic cookie-cutter graphics and animations CS is known for. Still really disapointed they got the contract to make this mmo.
Looks better than both Champions and STO. I guess it would be too much to hope for it to be a little sandboxy.

Like. Looks good to me. Hope you can actually listen in on conversations in the pub.

If the video objective was to say we exist and we have a classic mmo setting...AND NOTHING ELSE. Mission accomplished
OMFG ! this trailer is so fantastic............. 10 years ago

What kind of question is this? Is youtube problem if your company at work blocks www.youtube.com?

Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising everytime we fall.
Looks like a trailer for EQ2 at release.
Just to question the philosophy. Army of Socrates.
