Wargaming.net has announced that its own Guinness World Record for most concurrent online players has been shattered by Russian World of Tanks players.
The MMO action game dedicated to armored warfare has demolished its own Guinness World Record for Most Players Online Simultaneously on One MMO Server, when the number of concurrent accounts logged on to the game's Russian server totalled an impressive figure of 250,000 players this November.

How many servers SWTOR will launch with on release?
ShredderSE - Umm how many do they need? Maybe 6.
US, EU, Asian, France, German and Russian.
Subs will be so low there is no need for more

The first 3 months a lot...after that 2 i guess, one for PVE and 1 for PVP...
Thorbrand - SWTOR doesn't have longevity at all. Might be one of the shortest lived MMOs.

Isn't it a lobby game and you queue up for a round and then get thrown into a game with like a few other people at a time? 250,000 players in an online persistant world all on one server - that would impress me...a lobby game does not.
