I love it how funcom likes to cream down their own mistakes! Lol! In the new weekly update they say they have a couple of issues in the patch! Lol! A couple of issues? Wake up funnycom, do you really think the playerbase is that stupid not to know what was going on? It wasnt a couple of issues. The whole patch blew up in your face and still you deny it! lol!
Lag was terrible (still is), trader was defect, even took you guys like 4 times to fix it. People lost goods and mail, you still have to give some their stuff back. OMG and its a couple of issues! lol!
And then hide behind the always saying, with these patches noone can be 100 procent sure it will work. OMG, do you know how to fix and patch things or dont you? I hardly hear other mmos having this kindof prob! Only one worse than funcom is HI with gods and heroes. Those guys even outsuck funcom!

I agree... Funcom has a really poor track record with it's patches.
I believe alot of the issues relate to the server side "PhysX" system they added with the dream world patch.
Seems we are all paying to beta test this for Funcom and Nvidia.
Well, I guess we are being double screwed again and we didnt even like it!
I continue to ignore the game until the promised crafting update is made.
Though it pains me to say it, I can't help but feel that AoC has turned into a graphics test for TSW, and that they just aren't putting the care into fixing it anymore. They never did a great job in the first place, but it's really fading fast.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

This is very true. AoC went on the backburner as soon as subs started dropping. They barely got half a dozen patches out for the game before they pulled the majority of their dev team off of it and started work on TSW. That always pissed me off to no end. Fix what you have before abandoning it.
well glad i got my worth out of the game and left just in time. I peaked in the official forums and it looks like a warzone.
to be honest this just makes things worse for TSW, not better.

Well, in the country I live in, we have laws against companies that lie to their paying customers. Thats customer protection laws. We all pay for this game and we have been promised golden mountains and still nothing good. There are bugs since launch. They say we get the crom dungeons for free, but actually we where promised them since launch. So, what the.......They are here to ripp us off with so few new stuff. Then after they screw up, they show here on the website how TSW is doing, so to think those are bandaids against the bleeding. If they screwed up AOC, how will they keep a game like TSW up! Man, they surely ruined their own potential!
Please quote or at least give more examples of them "lying to their customers." They said they have some issues. The word "some" is subjective, and there really isnt laws that define lying to include stretching the facts. Also, please show me these promises. Additionally, if they promised the crom dungeons since launch and now your getting / have them then it looks like they fufilled their promise.
I'm not trying to defend Funcom as I think they are doing a piss poor job with AoC (though I do have higher expectations for TSW even if this beta ARG is taking forever to come out). It just seems like your raging a little hard over this. If its that big of a deal then stop playing and vote with your wallet.
Well, first of all I dont have to show anything about it, because almost everything they said is wrong or in the wrong sense. Look at when they sold the year sub with the beta invite to TSW. Ok, they never said when you would be aloud in, but you know just like me, we all read it to be the first ones in, it was also said in such a context that it was meant to be read as first ones in. Now the beta has been out for some time and we arent even invited. Others, who havent paid a dime have been invited. When asking their help about it, they just tell us to shut up and wait. And about 3 years waiting for something they promised since launch isnt coming through on your word. If I did the same with my company, I would be bankrupt in a year.
But as you dont care for these things, maybe you arent a paying customer to them. I am, because I did the year sub. I wont do another anymore for any other product of them. So they have lost me and many others.
I returned to AoC last week (30 free day veteran program) to find the 2 pvp servers completely empty, and I mean dead. especially the "hardcore" pvp server - everything was empty...this game is done, with ToR out in a few days and a number of other games on the horizon..
I can only hope you have a sub and not playing someones game for free and complaining about it.
Well, if you would have taken the time to really read, you would read I do have a sub. Have been since just after launch, but am gonna quit when it runs out in february.
People like to quote laws and lying about MMOs. Take it to the courts, otherwise stop. just stop with the whole criminal angle.

Then it is my opinion that you have every right to be critical of a product you are paying for. So many people I find complain about games these days when they are not even supporting them in any way. And use the excuse that if only this or that was done they would sub, ya right.
If its good enought to play for free its good enough to sub to. If you dont want to sub to a game but continue to play it I believe you have no right to be critical of any part of it.
Sub and play you can speak out about it.
Playing for free? Just shut your pie hole and be happy someone else if footing the bil for you
Dont like it? dont play it and knock it all you like.
PS edit: Yes I did take the time to read your post before replyiing and using "we" doesnt necessarily mean you, allot of people use we and in fact they are not part of that group its just used as a way to include youself in something for the purpose of justification.
This game is just a training program for TSW developers. Funny it broke when Funcom gave old players a month of premium. The reason the servers are dead is because not enough care or focus in the right areas was given after launch and the attention this game got from developers will continue to decrease as players continue to leave.
The only question is did they learn from mistakes enough to make TSW a success and if they did then why have they neglected AoC since release?
