Anyone know of a trial, or a buddy type trial in FFXI i wouldnt mind trying it out.

You have to still buy the game, but you can play without a subscription fee for 30 days-since you will certainly not need the expansion pack "Chains of Promathia" within the first 30 days (if you do, you're playing 12-18 hours a day and this isn't the first time you've played FFXI lol) that would be a $20 investment (assuming you have a graphics card compatible....most are) for 30 days of playtime.
That's the closest to a "free" trial- there is no free download of a beta or trial version available.
