How do you plan to manage your alt characters?

So SWToR seems to be a pretty alt freindly game. Maybe not as much as a game like CoH. But with each class having its own base storyline I know a lot of people plan on trying a few different ones. So will you play each class story all the way through before starting a new class? Or jump between multiple class stories? For now I plan on playing one at a time to maintain the story telling experience.

I will mainly be playing my Imperial Agent character when my friend is on.  When he is not on I will play either a Trooper or Smuggler.

ill in all likelyhood play characters 1-50 . one after another . That may change and i end up switching back and forth leveling 2 or 3 at a time but i dont intend to do it that way.

Depends on how boring / how much effort it will take to level alts in the game after you've finished leveling your main.

I hate alts, and i've never had them in MMO's usually, I've played WoW since the stage(wave) 2 beta, and for about 5 years i've played a rogue, with the exception of when i've switched back to the EU servers where i've played a warrior for about a year as an MT during vanilla, then switched to playing a hunter. During vanilla i had a dressadin and was healing some raids during my guild's alt runs. I cant really be bothered with alts, and with most games i've usually find my self enjoying a limited amount of classes, also since i do not have nearly as much time as i've used to have for games and i play other games too i cant realy afford to invest resources in additional chars if i want to be on top of the raiding content.

I dunno. I'll start off with one char, and then see where the wind blows.

I will do as i've always done in MMO's (especially LOTRO) and that is to play a char until i get bored then try a different class then repeat that while switching between already made characters. Keeps me busy while waiting for new content.

I will have a main to level to 50 first. Then go back and play multiple alts. But things can change based on my guild, a need for a mule and or an alt for extra crafting needs. But i really expect to get into my character and play through the story.

In every game I play I'm always looking for the perfect character. One character that keeps me playing for years without a need to make alts. I know this might be an illusion, but one can hope, hehe. I plan on investing a lot of time in 1 character; get all the skills to max, all the gear in PvE and PvP and all the other things you can achieve. Make 1 character as deep and developed as possible.

Perfect?  Do you mean over powered?

I'll be bouncing back and forth between 3 characters.  One for PvE, one for PvP, and one that I only play when my brother is around.

For once I want to stick with one character to level cap before even creating a single alt.

I have 6 months so i guess i will be able to manage all 8 classes...errr ..somehow ;p

How many servers SWTOR will launch with on release?

ShredderSE - Umm how many do they need? Maybe 6.
US, EU, Asian, France, German and Russian.
Subs will be so low there is no need for more
    Snoocky-How many servers?
The first 3 months a lot...after that 2 i guess, one for PVE and 1 for PVP...

Thorbrand - SWTOR doesn't have longevity at all. Might be one of the shortest lived MMOs.

Perfect for me has nothing to do with power, but more with achieving everything there is to achieve with just that one character and keeping me interested. Ever since I started playing MMORPG's I've been having reroll sickness. Once I got to max level I just lost interest. I'm looking for the perfect character that breaks that cycle. Imagine only playing one character for years and still enjoying it. That would be rather special and is kind of a personal goal for me.

I think you'd be more likely to find this perfect character in a Sandbox, but I do with you the best of luck.

I plan on playing through my Imperial Agent first being that its my main, and then go on to my alts. I will most likely play through them one at a time so that I don't get the stories mixed up and just max their Crew Skills before I try another.

I'm right there with ya dude.  I've usually been a big time alt guy with a whole stable of characters for crafting and such.  With the game features set up they way they are (storytelling, companions, starship, etc) I think I'll take the same route you are.
