Odd time for BioWare/Mythic (EA) to start a beta of the new WAR expansion when their (to-be) flagship is close to release...
was just wondering the same thing
its not a WAR exspansion as such, its a stand alone Moba like game, and its been in beta for a while now
I have to agree. This is a weird choice to coincide the testing periods.
huh? They are two completly seperate games with two completly seperate studios...this is like saying they shouldent release madden 2012 beta because starwars is coming out.
It one company and second you not going to get test result when most of your testers are playing an other game. Let's face it, most poeple will pick SWOTOR over this.

Lol at the "expansion" comments shows how much people read up before they post. Wrath of Heroes is a whole new game.
The tests start on wednesday for WoH, for SWTOR they start on Friday for some, and same on Saturday and Sunday.
WoH is gonna be played wednesday through friday I think, or something like that.
Edit: It's "Wednesday, November 23rd at 4:00 p.m. EST and will run through the very early hours of Monday, November 28th"

WoH is a game that will appeal to a different audience than SWTOR... not an expansion for WAR at all, this is a Warfront/Scenario/Battleground MOBA.

Tried this game last night hoping for some FPS type of controls... instead I found Tab target MMO type combat. Long story short I found it terrible. If I want tab target combat I'll play a themepark MMO... not a half baked game trying to emulate WoW Battlegrounds which to be honest are not very interesting anyways.

The game is based off of Warhammer Online combat. Warhammer Online combat is tab based and very much so Arena based.

As of Beta 5 2/4/2012 people are reporting that this code is still working. It is MMO style PvP, but it is a lot of fun. Just don't expect something it's not. I also play and enjoy swtor, but the pvp in this is worth the time away.
Worth your time or not, is a matter of opinion I guess. Personally I think it's a huge waste of time to even try the game. They've been sending me closed beta reminders for months and from the first time I tried it, I hated it. If you've played warhammer online then you've also played wrath of heroes, it's NOTHING but the exact same scenarios from warhammer online. The only difference is there is no character progression, so to me there's no point in playing the game.
yea it's besically like playing War's battle grounds except that you only have 6 abilites per character, you can choose a different char every time you die, and there is absolutely no character progression.
like a Warhammer version of team fortress but with tab targeting gameplay.
Great game i hope this beta test #8 i think ?..will bring all the other missing heroes!!!!! they were awsome at betas start!!!

i dont get it, i went to the website and the game seems to be open already for all to play, why the key give away then?
Not sure, but there is the 3rd day in a row with a news story featuring this game. For two days they used the same story, just changed the date. Even odder is that this story is orginally from November. They really want people to try this game!

Yeah I'm somewhat confused. I'm almost positive it's in open beta, you just sign up and get in instantly. I logged in today never input a code once. Got my friend to download it to try it with me and he didn't have to input a code either.
