New space games

I played eve for a month and got very bored.  I like seeing my character and interacting.

I played star war galaxies when it first came out and now i see pictures of space fighting

which wasnt there when I played.  I like space games however they do not seem like

they have not went far from the atari game where you hit asteriods.  I loved that game,

but that was so long ago.  Does anyone know if newer space games are coming out that

have more character interaction?  I had a very sexy character, but it didnt do any good

since no one would see me.

    Star Trek Online is the next space game that I've heard of since SWG or Eve. Sadly it will be 2007 before everyone gets to play but the beta is supposedly going to go live sometime in 2006 :).
