I have a question. If your say Dark Side, and you accidently do a light side option. Will the say 50 light side points be there forever? And Vice Versa?

Yeah, it will always be a factor, but it still comes down to a sum total of all your decisions. If that is the only lightside choice you ever make, it won't be much of a factor in the long run.
if you hit escape before the convo ends you can exit out of the conversation and it erases any decisions that were made including alignment points. and the points themselves are not added to your meter until you turn in the quest
lightside/darkside really has no big bearing on your character, just how you look, your vehicles etc. The stats and abilities are all the same.
WEll someone said if you hit the next tier, it deletes it
Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas
nope, that doesnt happen unless that person got a bug
All it does is make you have to get 50 more darkside points to get to the next level than someone that choses dark on that question.
Well, the 50 light side points is going to annoy me. I know I'm only level 6, but went through a lot of stuff. And I love how my character looks.
Radix Malorum Est Cupiditas
This INFURIATED me on my light side character.
*SPOILER*
Early on, medicine was stolen from the Republic. Soldiers need it or they'll die. You find out the refugee stole it. Talk to her and the Separatists stole it from her. Get it back. You either give it to refugees (who could be spies or children, innocent or guilty) or give it to the soldiers (who will DIE if they don't get it and they are FIGHTING for the refugees (unlike th Separatists)). You help the soldiers and you get a dark side point.
WTF IS THAT?!?!?
*END SPOILER*
I don't get it but I don't want those 50 points taking away from another 50 I earned by pissing people off and doing the RIGHT THING.
ultimately 50 points isnt going to affect anything. even assuming there weren't enough decisions via quests to get a max alignment bar(even though there are repeatable quests and dungeons which give them so you can always get them) there is diplomacy mission skill for crew skills which can be used famr alignment points
