    aww man, that sucks. I remember his cameo on knight rider 2000 many many years ago where Micheal Knight hit him with the kit '57!

    What a sad day :( He was my favorite star trek character out of all the series.

    Yes, it is a sad day indeed. Scotty was my favorite characters too. Not only was Jimmy Doohan a hero on the screen but in real life too! I never got the chance to meet the man but I once heard that he tried to go to as many conventions as he could just so he could spend time with the fans. His star on Hollywood Blvd is a well deserved one!
