Predict the waves of discontent

Here's my guess:

Wave 1: Disgruntled pre-orderers that are waiting to get in game

Wave 2: Grumblings over excessive Queues. This wave has already begun and will get worse on release day and will remain for a few weeks

Wave 3: Gank victims on PVP servers for players who started later than their attackers

Wave 4: Imbalanced factions create long waits for PvP

Wave 5: People that rushed to end game complaining about content

    Wave 0 through 50:

The usual suspects up to their usual antics.

Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.

I'm not discontented but that's because I preorderd TODAY LOL.  I guess I purchased with the expectation of waiting.

Why is this necessary?  Can't people just play the games they enjoy and those that dont enjoy them just say why they dont and leave it at that?

Why does every game have to have a big "FAIL" sticker on it?

Wave 6: people who wanted TOR to fail will spend their spare time making mountains out of mollehills while everyone else is enjoying the game.

I pre-ordered at the last minute and am not discontent.

But there are clearly going to be waves of specific groups complaining.  As long as I can level reasonably well without getting ganked all of the time I won't really be complaining myself.

Their strategy of staggered waves hasn't been done in the past for a reason.  It makes for a fairly smooth launch for Bioware but creates second class citizens and exploitable leveling due to the PVP system.

This doesn't make the launch a failure, but it will be a learning experience for companies in the future.

So a basic MMO launch. I've always wondered if it's the exact same people making the exact same complaints every MMO launch. Maybe it's the exact same mistakes MMO creators are making? Nah.

I'm only sad that I have been locked out of my account the same day I got my early access invite :(

However the nice guys at Gamestation gave me a refund of the  £5 I paid :)

I emailed and got the usual useless generic response ( which took 2 days ) and I cant get too phone support because its says this number not in service .....

just a catch 22 situation and its upsetting me that much I just want too cry " sob "

So I can understand that there will be waves of discontent yes for sure ...

I think the staggered release is a great idea. First come first serve is also a great idea.

What sucks? Keeping your customers in the dark. I'm ok with waiting, but there are A LOT of people that have been waiting for this moment for a longggg time. Transparency is fundamental to large business these days. Keeping their customers in the dark as to when they might be playing was a bit of an oversight by BW.

There should be estimates set up for order dates etc. Don't promise to deliver on a specific day, but say "Ok October-Nov should be getting in on Friday etc". Just so these people are not sitting around growing increasingly more bitter.

Damn right first world problems aren't a joke. Sometimes I wish I lived in a third world country so my only complaint would be not being first world. Oh and I wouldn't have to see that stupid first worlds problem meme anymore because I wouldn't have internet! Win win situation in my book.

You know there are actually legitimate people like me who are huge Star Wars fans, have been following this game since it was just a rumor and playing early access from day 1 (and I am in the redzone) who are actually finding the game bland and dissapointing.

The game is bland, but I wouldn't call it dissapointing.
