i like warrior,rogue and ranger the same
warrior: becouse i can become a great force on the feild
rogue : in hiding wait to pick someone out.
Ranger:"Rangers lead the way" having a pet is awsome:)
Looks like I am not the only one who likes elemental utility, I also like Necromancer and Ranger classes, of course I will have to mess with all of them to some degree. I tend to make anti root dps control specs and there are so many possibilities right now Im gonna have to wait and see honestly.
I plan to play:
Mesmer (Main): To control the pace of the battlefield
Guardian: To support my allies while also dishing out damage
I've been a tank or blaster my last few games.
Going to go back to my roots with the thief.
Always liked to table top as a rogue or thief, and started in EQ1 over a decade ago with my half elf rogue.
So Chaar thief will be my first run through the game.
I used to play MMOs like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.
Charr warrior will be my main. Alts will all be charr! Maybe one Asura cause the bastards have such crazy animations.

Engineer always loved the Turret oriented class in other games, plus all the gun play with them and gadgets ... it sounds like a fun class.

My Guild Wars titles
Mesmer (human) - my main was a mesmer back in GW1 (nd I loved it!) ,so I plan on mesmer being my main character in GW2. Also plan to have a Charr Engineer as an alt.
I'm hoping I like the game as much as I did GW1, but there are some concerns for me.
I'll play a Thief as my main, but I really want to play all 8.
I picked theif, but really my main will be decided by the armor aesthetics and then by how fun the class is to play. I will play each class.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

Im thinking of going necromancer, but theres still plenty of time to decide since we dont know anything about the release date yet ;/
I chose warrior only becasue you didn't have Astronaut or race car driver on the list.
Think I will probably start as ranger or elementalist but will also try thief and necro.
Eventually I hope to play all professions as well!!! they all see very, very interesting
I will definitely do an update of this poll in the comming months, I was surprised to see that the ranger class was last too its a fun naturelovin profession!
Norn Warrior.
I dont like the stereotypical hack n' slash warrior which the class usually is in any fantasy game, but since GW2 allows me to use rifles and other means to fight too, effectively, not just some useless fluff ability, I'm really looking forward to play the warrior, for the first time ever it seems like the class is what I've always wanted a warrior to be in a fantasy game, but never got delivered before.
Though I still need to hear about some details. Elementalist being propably my backup if it turns out the warrior isnt what I was looking for afterall.
Norn warrior or ranger
Hard to tell, i'll probably try most class to see how they work. But as it is now i think i'll go silvari elementalist or theif, they seam a lot more versatile and i like to play this kind of characters, they look awesome too.
I have absolutly no idea yet. There are a few that I'm Interested in. Primarily Mesmer, Guardian, Warrior, Necro. And possibly Engineer, Theif, and Ranger. Elementalist looks nice, but It is likely the last class I try.
It's a bit of a toss-up between Engi, Thief, Necro and Mes. But I'm 90% certain Mesmer. I'll re-evaluate after we get the thief news on Tuesday. Plenty of time.

I think it's funny seeing warrior, thief, and mesmer (at this time) trade for 1st.
