in Star Wars Galaxies

just ordered the game and was wondering what a good server to start on whold be? In terms of commuity, economy, guilds etc.

    i can only speak for the server i play on.  Eclipse is in the top 5 as far as total population.  We have an extremely strong community (check it out on the official forums).

     

    as for eceonomy, we're one of the more extreme inflated ones, but making money is very easy to do :)

     

    we have our share of good PA's, and our powerhouses on both sides of the war.  The Imperials are actually winning on 2 of the 3 contested planets, but not by much.

    Naritus

    medium population, crafting community going strong, active guilds, medium PvP and roleplaying activity, has avoided all the major exploit and duping problems (mostly by choice of the server community), highest rebel activity of all servers

    Many of the forum readers here have a toon on Naritus and would be glad to help you get started, both with advice, company and a starter package (e.g. ship, vehicle, money, house, droid, armor, weapons etc.) with no strings attached. In game you can reach me as Novarider or Delos.

    thanks very much for your suggestion Wheezal it was greatly appreciated but i think Naritus sounds like the place for me (had my fill of extremely over inflated economies on FF XI).

     Thankyou very much for your suggestion and offer Erillion and i will be sure to contact you in game when i recieve it (damn back order, and some people say this game is dying) so hopefuly i'll be mixing it up in SWG in a week.

    On the other side, Shadowfire is extreamly cheap. BARC's go for 5-8 mil on most servers but go for 1-2 mil there. The server does have a low population (it was created after release) and some weird dynamics that I can't really explain (you probably won't notice them if you start there, but when you come from another server you'll see it).

    As far as community, the Farstar server has been the best I've seen. The RP community is huge and most of Tatooine is filled with RP cities. If you're in the states though, expect some lag.

    im not entirely sure that the population as a whole is dying if anything it is much stronger.  lowca has a good pop. and we have a pretty strong competitve economy.
