"What will I do at the end game?" is a question that is very much on my mind. It took about 3 years, but I've figured out that I'm not a person who raids. I can join in a raid on a drop in basis, but raiding is not my main goal in playing mmorpg. So, besides the raids, will there be things for people to do?
For instance, can get build guild perks through PvP? What about crafting? Will someone who's focused on crafting be able to make what feels like a worthy contribution to the guild (or group) through crafting?
I know people are just now getting there, but what's the lay of the land?

I can only speak for my guild on my server. But no one has really started any end game stuff yet. Most of us are leveling, pvping, crafting, or doing Flashpoints. Probably sometime in January we'll begin full swing on Endgame stuff. For now though it's no rush and not even a priority.

It will take me at least a month, probably longer to actually hit the 'end game'. Even if the end game is raids, I'll probably do some because the flash points were a lot more fun than I expected. I'm just curious if there's anyone who has any idea what all the end game covers.

There's quite a few 50s already, and a lot of people got to 30+ over the headstart. I'd say early january at the latest, we'll start seeing people doing endgame stuff.
If you have even a little liking for PvP. Trust me roll on a PvP server, it's gets crazy. You'll forget all about leveling lol. But from my understanding currently the End game will be the usual themepark stuff. Raids, think there are currently 2 or 3, could tell you if I was in game. With different modes believe it's Normal and Nightmare or is it Heroic lol. And of course the thing I'm looking forward to the most, the open PvP planet Illum. Of course there's also the FFA PvP lake for when guilds of the same faction want to settle disputes in a civilized manner . There's also Datacron hunting, and let me tell you some of them require a bit of thought on how to get to them, and some are well hidden. Space missions as well, they get progressively harder as you take on tougher ones that open up as you level up.

no guild perks as of yet. its one of the things they have listed as a high priority for future updates. havent dove too much into the crafting my self just yet. its a little hard since i took slicing instead of underworld trading and thus have to rely on the market to get mats for any of my blue or higher crafts.
as for activities that have been listed:
2 operations with 3 difficulty lvls(normal, hard, and nightmare)
15 flashpoints. 3 are open at end game with 2 difficuly settings and the other 12 can be made end game lvl by playing them in hard mode
warzones
open world pvp with objectives on ilum
FFA pvp in outlaws den on tatooine - this could involve settling disputes with other guilds, hosting pvp events amongst same faction or maybe even setting up a tournament that pits players from either faction against one another with random draw. things like that (edit: just to be clear, they dont give you tools to set up your own tournments in-game. that was just a possible suggesting. this would have to be organized on the forums or something)
crafting
space missions
rolling alts
dailies
finding any missed datacrons and lore objects for the codex(without the use of a guide because wouldn't take very long with one)
feel like im missing something but cant think of it

After having been in the Testing Program since last November. Without missing a single phase. and rushing each phase to cap or to the max test open content.
I am done rushing.
I have done Operations, did them in the test, my characters I am enjoying. Both my first two are 25 but they also have crew skills above their level equivalent, 6-8k affection with their first companion, and Light 3 on one and 4 on the other.
I plan to enjoy every minute of it, rushing for me was a Beta thing.
