After reading the "Battle of the Bards" thread, I began thinking about some of the games I've played and the classes or professions I've played inside those games, the fun times I had with them, how they worked in groups and on their own, which one's I enjoyed the most.
Which in turn made me curious, what about everyone else ? There's so much I "havn't" tried out there, many games I've just never had the time to play or look into, so I'd really like to know:
What has been your favorite Class in your gaming experience, forget the BEST one out there, I mean the most fun professions, adventure, crafter, social or otherwiese that kept you comming back for more and more ?
To conclude, I'll appologize ahead of time if this has been done before, I can't remember seeing a similar topic recently but I haven't been on the mmorpg.com forums for all that long either. Can't wait to see what you all come up with. Thanks.

Refreshing topic, everyone these days is all about the best class, the best gear, the best game... i be tired of all this bestness (i know its not even a word)
I had great fun playing my TKM in star wars galaxies, the fact i like to play unarmed classes was a bonus from my old days of playing a monk in D&D pnp. It was fun playing the TKM because i could use normal clothes and not armor while fighting, that was great especialy in SWG where the clothing options are many and varied.
I found that playing a Martial artist in Anarchy online was also fun, tho i tired of the game rather quickly, but i got say the community there was great fun, pitty the grinding played so large a part in the game.
But by far the most fun i had was playing a bard in everquest, the roleplaying oportunites were great, i was lucky to make some good friends in the game and we organized events, wrote songs and traveled norath just entertaining other people.
All ur Mountain Dew is belong to me.
My favorite classes have always been the "In-Your-Face" fighters.
Berserker in DAoC, TKM/Swordsman in SWG, Warrior in WoW, etc.
I like to be the one up front cracking faces open with a hammer.
I ALWAYS am a Cleric, Doc, Defender or any class that heals.
I enjoy that more than any other profession.
Its nice to be needed
Support Bacteria, its the only culture some people have.
I liked the confessor and wizard in shadowbane, I wish they'd make a shadowbane 2 thats kinda like other mmorpgs with raiding and stuff and less pvp or have servers for both . I think they have the funnest classes out there and best customization.
Martial Arts/Regen scrapper from City of Heroes, my favorite by far.
Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit
I think a Mage has always been most fun. The use of magic has always fascinated me and it seems as though they end up being the most powerful class in most games. Think about it, the most intriguing character in King Arthur stories is Merlin.
I've always loved playing Necromancers...love having my own personal army. However, most games either lack it or have a REALLY crappy version of it. Sadly, the best one I've played is from Diablo 2. Most others just feel...weak.
My anti bot Stat PK in Ultima online t2a
50 fencing
50 taming
30 poisoning !
"all kill" 10 bears attacking the poor script miner
Whack Poisoned
Laugh all the way to the Bank with your newly looted ore
Well, for me, being a wizard of Everquest made me feel so gosh darn POWERFUL. Wizards had the highest DPS in the game. Being a mage of WoW just made me feel weak in comparison. I was very much disappointed.
So I would say the EQ wizard, because of the arrogance I got from being one. I would just walk into town thinking that I'm just a badass. But now that I think about it, it wasn't the most "fun" class to be. Yeah it had status, but it was just "work" when I was out in the fields.
The most fun class I ever experienced had to have been the EQ1 bard. The running speed of selos acceleration + drums was unmatched. I was wanted in groups but I could solo if I wanted to. And I was downright good lookin' in my armor
Bard all the way baby
in neocron i liked the pe, pretty much a jack of all trades master of none, enough magic to have an ok self heal and some sheilds and just enough fire power to hold his own... now ive played more mmo's ive come to like rogues and stealthers sneaking and waiting for just the right moment to attack, gotta love that guy who just waits untill youv finished a hard battle with some mobs and then ganks you just as you go to heal up !!!
gank gank gank gank gank...
Well my favorite class(s) have always been the Ninja/Thief in FFXI, and the Rogue in WoW.I just love the stealth classes :P.
My favorite class would be Infiltrator & Scout in Dark Age of Camelot. The reason is I like to be invisible on the battlefield. I can plan my attacks ahead, or sometimes I just see a team mate in distress and I jump in which is fun because its the only way you can be a hero in there, because most combat involve multiple players and you get killed fast.
Its extremely fun to kill players that obviously don't even have the time to comprehend whats happening to them as we stealthers lurk in the shadows waiting for the preys we seek to destroy... mouhahah
