What are some good space MMORPG's?

Hey all. i was a huge fan of Earth and Beyond, played it forever and have been trying to find something thats just like it to play. ive tried EVE, but didnt really like it that much. Wasn't the same. Are there any besides that with a free trial or any space aged ones in general that are similar? Thanx.

    Well hrm...

There isn't anything else out there like E&B (Though it looks like someone is beginning the concept for a E&B clone) the only other Space RPG's out there that you might try are:

    SWG and Jumpgate

Both have spaceflight but they're both twitch rather than pointy-clicky... you may not like them as much as you did E&B but they do both have spaceflight. Jumpgate is full PVP, SWG is voluntary PVP.

Another two I've never really played much are:
    Darkspace and Hostile Space...

If those don't suit you you could always try Freelancer, it's not an MMORPG but it is in the same vein as E&B was with mouse driven spaceflight. And you can jump on player run servers that support up to 300 players online at once.

    Either way, good luck.

Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.

If E&B was his flavor I don't think he would really like SWG, I know people might disagree but IMO SWG space is more of a mini-game(which is how it should be).
I've played Hostile Space, it's a bit "odd", killing giant scorpions... you could try it out though, its free up to a certain level.
Can't comment on Darkspace or Jumpgate.

I'm not sure how good it is but there is Vendetta Online.

As far as out in space and quality, it's almost a vacuum. SWG is tops if you don't like EVE. Also Anarchy Online is sci-fi but not out in space. Saga of Ryzom is a very interesting take on sci-fi also, but again not in space as far as I know. I loved Earth and Beyond too so much so that when I tried EVE online I got sad and couldn't play. It was just so similar.

I would give Saga of Ryzom a whirl since its a free trial. Also Anarchy Online I think is free for a year and is full sci-fi. SWG isn't free but theres space missions and I have heard a lot about them mostly positive. Tabula Rasa is sci-fi but not gonna be released for quite some time still.  I am stoked about that one. Planetside is sci-fi but all ground based and is a FPS (first person shooter).

Those are a good bet to try. I like all of them. I probably missed a few but those are the major ones. You really didn't like EVE? I have heard nothing but good about it which is very rare for any game. EVE is probably the best as far as popular opinion with Saga of Ryzom and SWG not far behind.

Hmm, if you did'nt like Eve Online, then possibly try Vendetta Online. I heard it was OK, but it is a somewhat low budget MMORPG. Also, try Jumpgate. I have heard some very nice things about this game, and you should definately give this one a try (I believe there is also a trial, too). You also may want to try DarkSpace.
