I think that the best mmorpg is.... City of Heros. Thats right, not a fantasy mmorpg. Although i have never played CoH, I have also never heard a bad thread on it! So i guess by default it must just be a great game!

never heard bad thread about city of heroes?
Well, i personally like the game, here ,though, are the main reasons people says for not liking it:
- Lack of loot
- Lack of a crafting system
- Boring after a month
- Not enough to do (all missions are the same, go there kill all baddies)
- not enough variety in gangs and locales (scarcity of locales in general)
- not enough storyline missions
So. there you are. Personally i consider CoH to be a good game that fulfill its goals. Letting you live as a superhero in a casual way. Meaning it is geared for casual players as you can get in the game, grab a mission and do it in about half an hour. Fighting is fast, colorful and nice with no autoattack feature and dozens of powers.

COH has had many threads that went into great detail about what is wrong with it.

I never heard any negative (or posite) thread about them.............
I doubt you ever heard about them either or know that they even exist, but ehy........who cares...... as long as there are not negative posts about them, they must be awesome games...........

Personally I think the best MMO is yet to be written. Some publisher will finally assemble the good pieces from many games and incorporate them. Perhaps if some of the designer egos were puished aside we might even have one in the near future.

you never heard of City of Heroes?
Odd considering it was the first superhero MMorpg, got a lot of E3 coverage, is published by one of the biggest MMorpg producer (NCSoft) and surely was in the press for a while for the history of the legal issues with Marvel....

You've never heard a bad thread? That's odd, a lot of people have quit because the game becomes repetitive because you're always killing humanoids over and over again around urban cities or over-used underground caverns. Versus a fantasy MMORPG, at least you have dragons, monsters, different kinds of dungeons, towers, fortresses, etc...
I personally left the game after a few months because it got boring. Sure I had a chance to relive a childhood dream of making my own super hero, but I just couldn't stay forever in this MMORPG.
