Ifantry was created and developed by Harmless Games Inc., Harmless games released the game while in beta hooking close to 4000 active players. Harmless games, then ran out of money and people, sold the product to Sony. Sony hired the people from Harmless games, they worked on it. Then Infantry stopped being developed properly if at all. They nerfed things and destroyed much of the fun game play. They got rid of some of the most popular zones from the HG days. They also made it a pay service.

Ahh, ok, totally different from EQ then. EQ was funded by Sony and developed by 989. They changed their name to Verant shortly before release and then merged with Sony to form SOE about 6-9 months later, I don't remember exactly but it was while I was still in the Guide program so it was fairly early on.
