SV is applying a server patch today: of note, fixes to nodelines appears to be one of the most significant issues being dealt with.

What does that have to do with that they released a patch today? A patch that so far seem to have made nodelines that has bugged the game so much, a memory of the past. So that scar has left MO from today it seems. So i guess you guys can´t pick on that one any longer. To bad. Thank god then that there are still some bugs left in the game for you to cling on to.
Do not worry SV is happy to create bugs more than fix them I am sure there will be many more.
On topic. There is still a pause whe crossing a node. It still is not seamless. You may not crash and freeze and explode but it still is not perfect.
Since this is one of the most often complained about problems with the game, it would appear that they are concerned with fixing it - they installed such a patch today, and have been making fixes to the game over the last several months.
Not a lot of feedback so far, but looks like it might be a significant improvement:

It was only really a problem if you didn't have a solid state harddrive, AND you had your inventory open. Otherwise it was really no big deal.
Never trust a screenshot or a youtube video without a version stamp!
Spoken from a person who clearly don´t play the game AT ALL. It was a freaking mess fighting along nodelines, cause people got stuck on nodelines and killed, or disapeared etc, and it happened to us that have expensive computers as well. This was THE biggest issue they had. So trying to say it was "no big deal" clearly shows that you have no clue on what people that play the game thinks. It was a HUGE mess, one that even kept people away from the game. Some will return now as well as it seems from reading the forums. So go ahead, fool yourself, but your not fooling anyone else.
Yes ! There used to be a huge delay when crossing a nodeline, people would looks like they stand in place with the running animation for 30 to 90 seconds, nothing would refresh for that time when crossing, and people in your group would appear several feets away when the server synch would finally happen.
This is a huge improvement on the gameplay
Wait did you just say that one of the biggest fanboi's of the game must not play the game?? I had my doubts as well. But I agree with you. If you had a beastly computer or a rinky dink, it was horrible going through a node even with the inventory closed or open.
I agree. So far, this is a major improvement in performance. It's also one of the most important things they could have fixed.

I´ve only seen what a guy with that nickname "Username509" has written on that sandbox page, and that was everything but fanboish material. But maybe a hater stole his nickname over there to make him look bad. I dunno. Haven´t read much of him here to know where he stands.
So your response would be different knowing that he is one of MO's biggest supporters? Maybe don;t focus so much on the poster but rather on the content of the messages. His point was that it wasn't a big problem if you had a state of the art HD and kept your inventory closed. Most folks would disagree, but not because of what he posted on another website, rather because they disagree with the statement.

No, he is still wrong in fact. It wasn´t only a issue if you "didn't have a solid state harddrive, AND you had your inventory open". The problem was there even if you had a top of the line computer AND your inventory closed. So yeah, he/she was wrong there. The problem was still there, and everyone had it. Now it´s working like a charm compared to before. It was THE biggest bug/issue SV had if you ask me. And now it´s almost completly gone. They say they can do even more, but now at least we can PVP in groups around nodelines again.
Agreed: it was a serious issue, and it's been GREATLY improved with this patch. So much so, it's not a major issue anymore.
They still have other things to improve, but this was huge.
