What is wrong with me?

This is a rant post! I am not happy! I have been playing since early access (although i pre-ordered late) several hours per day trying almost all classes and my experience is far from what i was reading it would be like.

1) I have had no CTD. ever!

2) 60-100 FPS on my 6790 (NOT 6970) 99 euro card.

3) No lag spikes.

4) I dont know what a que looks like. (i have chars on 2 EU english PVP servers, 1 empire - 1 republic) I work 9 -5 and play in the afternoon untill 22 00 - 23 00. And on weekends.

5) People when i PUG are friendly and helpfull on the most part (with the exeption of a guy who thought that once the companion dies u can never have him again.)

6) I am enjoying the game without feeling forced or Burned even though I have 6-7 lvl 10+ alts in order to try diferent play styles.

So what is wrong with me? Am I lucky? Am I the 2% or the 98% ? Are more people like me who are too busy having fun to come here and whine about a game?

This forum has what? 100 active posters? 200 maybe, but that's a stretch.

The game has over 1000000 players playing and enjoying it.

    Do the math :)

FPS problems are a well known problem that a lot of people are having including myself and I have a 6970 crossfire. Three out of four of my mates who used to play (all quit now cause the world PVP sucks) had massive FPS problems too, oh the game doesn't even support crossfire, though no clue about SLI.

It is a well known issue, lots of people are having it and they confirmed they're looking into it.

You are not alone OP. Servers are down at the moment so thought I'd come on here to see what's what.

Just the usual ranters/whiners/rattle throwers/ other random game fanboys whose opinion means absolutely **** all to me as I'm enjoying the game and playing it - roll on the servers being back up.

all subjective and depends on server TBH

Its a OK game at the moment I'm still relativly enjoying it but need a 8 man warzone queue ASAP as far too often getting 4 guildies and 4 complete utter ****wits which are completely ruining the matches.  Needs to fix PVP combat delay also far to often spamming abilities multiple times to trigger them and theres a 100+ page thread on this on the official boards so not just me.

At the moment its a C (has potential)

But yeah same here no crashes runs awesomely on my laptop PUGS have been really friendly so far aside the few that just dont speak whatsoever (seriously go play skyrim if you dont want to socialise in a MMO) Queues are still an issue on my server had only went away for a day or 2 of xmas but back at 5 hours last night.

    My experiences

    1) No CTDs, the game is stable

    2) 15-30 fps on Radeon HD 4850 and minimum graphic settings. My system should exceed the required with wide margin but when there are multiple players on screen it's allmost unplayable.

    3) No lag spikes

    4) In during first days of pre-order. I changed server 2 days afterwards because the first servers they opened had 2+ hour ques

    5) People in PUGs were surprisingly helpful

    6) Currently on break until I get computer upgrade. I did not use my product key and will not use it as long as the f**** fps is too low. My computer can run every other game I've tried without a hitch, there's got to be some bug or something causing my low fps.

    To the OP:

There is nothing wrong with you. However, I might suggest you avoid reading this forum. Its full of sadistic unhappy people that take pleasure in tearing people and things down.

When the servers go back up, play and have fun.

There are a large number of people enjoying the game. The North American servers have been continually busy (with half always Very Heavy to Full).

There is nothing wrong with enjoying the game.

Actually, I was wondering what is wrong with ME...  Since I downloaded the test server client just so I could be playing while the maintenance is going...  lol

I hope and expect things to improove. The game was never advertized as a PVP centered game. PVP balance and issues plagued WoW  or WaR up untill recently (and according to forums still do). Overall the game is not even 10 days old and should be judged as such.

    driver or CCC settings issue.

if you go into CCC and set stuff to let the app choose the issues with fps clear right up.

after the last patch i went from smooth problem free play on max settings to random ctds, setting AA and multisampling to letting the app chose instead of forced on cleared it up.  at one point i chain crashed 10x in a row on hutta trying to play an agent, swapped the settings and had no issue afterward, game looked the same on screen, just didnt stop working, guessing its an ati driver issue with the new updated game.

If you are short on cash go for the 6790 otherwise for the 6850. I play at 1650x1024 with everything maxed and i get 55 - 100 FPS (40 - 45 sometimes indoors)

You're actually correct. The people who have time to complain are stuck in a que, the rest are playing. There's no 'happy' threads concerning SWTOR because all of the happy people are too busy having fun.

Played - M59, EQOA, EQ, EQ2, PS, SWG[Favorite], DAoC, UO, RS, MXO, CoH/CoV, TR, FFXI, FoM, WoW, Eve, Rift, SWTOR, TSW.
    Playing - PS2, AoW, GW2

Same. This is pretty funny considering Skyrim STILL crashes about every 30 minutes in the PC version.

    2) 60-100 FPS on my 6790 (NOT 6970) 99 euro card.

I'm usually at 50-60 FPS with vsync enabled, but in some areas and situations I've experienced FPS drops that cause a bit of eyebrow-raising given my hardware. Sometimes I can fix and FPS drop by alt-tabbing out and back into the game. It's odd.

    3) No lag spikes.

Might have had a couple of lag spikes since launch, but nothing noteworthy.

    4) I dont know what a que looks like. (i have chars on 2 EU english PVP servers, 1 empire - 1 republic) I work 9 -5 and play in the afternoon untill 22 00 - 23 00. And on weekends.

Queue times have been pretty harrowing on my server, but I usually log in before the queue gets serious. Now that they've expanded the pop cap on my server I'm not sure what the queue looks like.

    5) People when i PUG are friendly and helpfull on the most part (with the exeption of a guy who thought that once the companion dies u can never have him again.)

I've had a really good experience with my groups in general. And considering how you're grouping up a ton in the game I think that's an achievement.

    6) I am enjoying the game without feeling forced or Burned even though I have 6-7 lvl 10+ alts in order to try diferent play styles.

Going to stick with 2 characters for now.

Played the beta, and hated it.

Was gifted the game and picked it up with some friends and i must say, its becoming the biggest blast i have had with the same friends on an mmo in years.

Only reason im not playing right now is because the GF will get upset with just how much time im playing lol

Its an mmo, play as a group and enjoy the storyline/content as you go, don't just rush for cap and burn out like the masses including myself now days

Framerate issues appear to be really hit and miss. I have them and all I can put it down to is loading of character models and special affects into RAM. It probably doesn't help that the game loads the entire world (not just your zone on the world), when you enter it.

Still, engine optimization will come, or a new PC....

If you're clocking 60-100 FPS with that GPU, you must really enjoy your low settings and/or resolution.
