Hrm...the local Wal-Mart sells it for $20. You could also try www.pricegrabber.com
I played this for the PS2 a while ago, and I had a really, really good time with it. If I were to go back to it now. I would Pick up Everquest Online Adventures: Frontiers. The world is expanded, the graphics got a minor upgrade, more items, more content etc.
Current Games:
I have played this game for countless hours. It is so addictive. My accounts are currently in-active but i am trying to reactivate them! I have a 54 Troll warrior (beat 60 Wizards), 55 Human Cleric, 43 Human Magician and other lower level chars not worth mentioning.
Everquest Online Adventures.
If your planning on buying it i would suggest getting Everquest online adventures: Frontiers. That is the latest expansion and adds a whole new continent Odus. It also adds Quests, Ogres, and Alchemists. Oh and much better graphics!
Ups of EQOA
Dueling. Never gets old beating people in Freeport while massive crowds form around the battle!
Master Classes. Make your Character even more powerful by purchasing a MC. (ex. Shadowknights MC's are Slayer and Deathknight. Slayer is for duelers and Death Knight it for Raids and tanking.)
Class Mastery points. Each class has ts own masteries that you can purchase to make your character stronger without leveling. Althought it may take awhile after 500 cms to gain more.
WereQuests. Get a were form which gives your character new spells and abilities. There are many kinds. Wolf, Bear, Lion, Gator, and Rat. Each specializes for each class but can do any.
Epics. Aquire an awsome wepon from your level 49 Quests. They are attractive and powerful.
Raids! The game will never get boring. there are unlimited places to raid and farm!!
Downs of EQOA.
I have found myself getting into fights with people every night. Other players are inmature and childish.
Many people KS (Kill steal) when you are minding your own buisness with your grp camping.
People will Train if they are mad at you.
People will log onto high level chars and steal every mob from the camps.
PL (powerleveling) People do it way to much and at way to popular camps.
Debt! When you die half the xp you gain for awhile is decreased and gets very boring...and old fast!
Grinding! Like in other mmorpgs you need to grind. B - O - R - I - N - G!
If i can think of anything else to mention ill update this! Oh and visit www.hodstock.com (the best EQOA server and very helpful website!
Im restarting EQOA Frontiers and i used to know a lot of people from UK if you want i can find out for you.
Please if you can
I dont want to spend money on EQOA when EQOA:Frontiers is available, or I'll be missing out on content that I would end up having to pay for at some point.
I wouldnt suggest getting just EQOA because at about level 20 your going to miss out on a bunch of groups, Pls and if you even do manage to get to 50 your raiding would be extremely limited. Once my game card gets in i'll see if any of them still play.....I Cant wait to get back...Oh and anyways theres gunna be a new expansion once ps3 comes out.
And www.station.com doesnt ship to UK?
This software is compatible with PlayStation®2 consoles with the NTSC U/C designation only. Not available for PlayStation®2 consoles with the PAL designation.
Copied that straight from SOE website, so maybe I cant even get it for a PAL system, looks like they dont want Euros to play anymore
Avitaway what is everquestlike. (just regular everquest) im thinking of either getting DAOC or everquest. I guess they use to be, and maybe still are, big rivals. thanks a ton.

I have played both, they both have around the same leveling curve, bur DAoC has RvR so if you like PvP DAoC would be the way to go. However if raiding is your thing EQ would be the way to go, but dont expect to be raiding until 60+
I have played lots of other MMORPGs and still keep coming back to EQ, also playing EQ2 all be it very slowly, so until Vanguard/D&D comes out thats where I will be
As I have All Access pass I wanted EQO for my son so I hope I can find a PAL version of Frontiers
I like EQOA quite a bit. If you see a copy of Fronteirs lying around for $20 by all means grab it. It's insaneley fun for the first 20 levels or so. All my characters have alwasy stalled out before 30, but I have fun until them.
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
I havent got my gamecard yet but i do know that when frontiers was released for uk all them left the euro server and a bunch came on hodstock . Should be getting gc soon but you should make a post on www.hodstock.com and ask if any of them know.
I find EQ more in depth, but im not a huge fan of PvP to be honest, theres a lot of effort needs to be put in to EQ but I always feel rewarded after making the effort.
DAoC I found it difficult to get groups that didnt split up after getting a quest done that they wantedm but maybe I just got unlucky /shrug

Oh well thats a shame
Guess my only choice is to chip my PS2 and get a US version
Hey guys wouldnt it be just so cool if they made this game for the psp. I thin that would be the coolest thing ever. Plus it would boost the population of the game so that there would be more ppl to do stuff with.
Actually that would be pretty fun. I might pick up a PSP if that ever happens. Lord knows the fugly graphics wouldn't push a PSP too much
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.
Sounds good but the PSP version would have to have solo and multi-player play. May be a solo game world and a multiplayer gameworld that you can only enter when connected.

Once upon a time I nearly imported a GC from japan so that I could play PSO a few months early. Fortunatley sanity prevailed and I was able to resist
