So much for the dire predictions that people will just get "bored" of the game. I can see that this game is going to be another WoW in that it will just keep growing while the others fall by the wayside.

Agreed
As a SW fan, it has me by the short hairs, and it isnt letting loose.
Anyways was surfing the site while I ate. I hear the addiction calling........
Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.

That's like saying "After 30 minutes of playing a Single Player game, the game still has a strong hold on me". It's an empty, meaningless statement because the lifespan of an MMO is expected to be magnitudes higher than a regular game.
That is, 3 weeks is nothing. Play 3 months and see if you are saying the same thing, THAT will mean something.
I dont know what it is exactly but I think the levelling process has been managed very well...everytime i just start to get a little bored, something happens to keep me hooked - Availability of awesome epic gear, major plot twist, new companion, new planet etc - something always pops up to keep me interested
Not sure how things will pan out once I get to cap and there is no more story... but for the first time ever I expect I will roll an alt (on the other faction) and play through their story because its so enjoyable.
Also, Im an normally a very solo player, but the way SWTOR has built in the Heroic 2+ and Heroic 4+ quests along with the flashpoints seems to make it very easy to group. I have been grouping more in SWTOR than I have done in most other MMOs!

didn't play much last few days and honestly have very little desire to log in.. keeping my sub though in hope we get some changes.. never had this little desire to play a big name MMO in well..... ever... I think right now aside from the numerous things already discussed its the talent tress.. They really are awful I sit in Torhead trying to come up with fun cominations of builds but you really have so little options. you really are drilled into one of just a handul of choices and the trees in many cases offer very little synergy..
For example with my powertech BH each of the 3 tress have several options to increase the effects of there gas cylinder which you can only have one on at a time gimping a lot of points if you want try a hybrid spec. On top of this each tree only offers 2 or some actual unique abilities and everything else is pretty much increase the by this % and such.. I dunno guess I got spoiled by rifts system but this part of the game has been such A huge letdown to me I find it less and less interesting everyday..
The ones quitting are the mmo hoppers that can't be satisfied with any game. There is no way anyone can convince me that there is a better game on the market right now.

3 months is nothing. In an MMO I spend 3 months to catch a particular fish or tame a particular pet. Try 3 years.

A lot of my guildmates have stopped playing/cancelled their sub, I haven't played much this week and have cancelled my sub.
I'm not trying to say it's a horrible game, but simply because you are enjoying it doesn't mean others aren't...faulty logic.
That being said, I imagine the game will continue to sustain a substantial playerbase simply due to the Star Wars name.
Your predictions are no more warranted than the ones you are criticizing is what i'm trying to say.
Let's see how you feel after 27 years!
