It looks like a lot of work has gone into that so far. That anyone would refer to this as 'the new Minecraft' is disheartening. Minecraft introduced something innovative and massively entertaining, and then historical MMO 'evolution' takes its course - build on it by adding levels, xp, quests... and remove digging.
Looks like an interesting game, and with an engaging enough story it could probably turn out to be a really fun CRPG.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein "Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
It looks really cool, with the whole 'cube' thing. I hope there's more to it than just having a 'Minecraft' look though. I didn't see anything other than pretty basic questing (kill 2 hornets!) and game controller combat.
It's the kind of thing that, once finished, you'd start with to get a good game.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
This would be the 3rd or 4th Minecraft wannabe I've seen.
What I hope for is Minecraft to get an actual mod support so those of us who want to create something a bit more complicated have as much flexibility as we do in the game. I'd love to see games built on top of the Minecraft structure, I've even had a few ideas myself.
My server is modded to hell, but it's all basically hacks and it's pretty limited. I think we run about.... 20 mods in total? (Including mods to mods) Minecraft is about the community and I hope the dev team starts supporting us more soon. There is alot I would like to add to my server, but can't because the mod structure doesn't allow it.

When I say "new minecraft" I mean in terms of cult status.
It's look a damn sight more interesting than Minecraft.

Moved to PC gaming.
3d Dot Game Heroes must have been a minecraft wannabe too, since this looks more like it than minecraft.
Apparently stating the truth in my sig is "trolling"
Sig typo fixed thanks to an observant stragen001.
Yeah, I thought it looked like a combination of them.
I wasn't counting that game. There have been a few that are long forgotten already.
Didn't realize how many until this thread got me curious. Here's a list:
