nightmare fix nice!
Just to clarify though, it may sound like they added high-res textures the way that it was worder but they did not.
• Taxi rides are no longer occasionally interrupted, causing the player to be dropped from the taxi.
Took Blizzard almost four years to fix that one. (Stop! Not starting a forum war, just reminiscing.)

yeah when other company don't even had this kind of issue
now they just need to fix all the otehr more annoying bugs
Sigh. Knew that would happen.

Hm, bit short patch notes. *shrug*

I swear they already did some graphic fix in game, because zooming round the republic station is not laggy today, and also in that missle pvp warfront, the lag is gone completely, you know the one with the two huge guns firing ? Well it was working great just now, no jerkiness at all.

Christmas - New Years - 15 days after launch - 2nd patch...
Seriously...they're doing pretty good. Not GREAT or AMAZING...but better than I expect tbh.
I think we ll see a massive amount of patches/content soon.
Check this bug out. It would definitely break up the leveling monotony...

Well, they fixed the sith corruption issue, that was one of my major gripes, slowly but surely they are getting there.
If only they can fix my crash to desktop issue... Funny I don't see many graphics issue while playing.

First I heard of a crash to desktop issue.

I wonder if this will fix my graphics card fan issue. When I play ToR my fan sounds like a hairdryer on high. Tor is the only game that causes it.
I have seen it on the forums and I am experienceing it myself. Not sure what the issue is, drivers are up to date, harddrive defragged, no viruses, even reinstalled windows and the ganme, I have been having them since early access. The weird thing is I get no error messages, it just crashes randomly, when there is a lot of people on screen, like a battleground.

If you are running Windows 7, you can fix a ton of graphics issues by running in XP SP 3 compatability mode. It doesn't work for everybody, but most people get improved frame rates and textures too.

Ooooh will have to try it, running windows 7 64 bit.

LOOOOOL I need to try this out NAO!
I've taken a framerate hit since the last patch and now I'm only getting 30FPS....
The weird thing is the game uses no more than 20% of my GPU and my CPU is running at 25% with the game running. I can push my PC with encoding in the background and it doesn't impact performance. There is something wrong with a game that is using hardly any resources and yet it runs like shit. My mate has 580SLI and he only gets like 6FPS in battlegrounds and cannot play the game. I have 6970Crossfire so it isn't an ATI or Nvidia issue and we both have 6 core I7s and 12+GB of ram.
Thing is lots of people are having the same issues, the forums are going mad about low framerate and Gamebreaker TV half the people on there with good PCs have the same issue. The game looks like a 5 year old MMO and I can max out Battlefield 3 at an 80FPS average with AA turned on full.
They need to do something or lots of people will quit.
How do you do this if I may ask?
Right click launcher. There is a compatability tab. Check first box and select OS from the list.

I will admit to poor optimization on their end. My PC isn't the very top of the line, but I can run everything on max usually, with good framerates, and I'm usually able to record most of my gameplay, or some of it at least.. but lately I'm already at 30FPS before running fraps... which cuts it down to 15- 20 FPS which is unplayable.
It wasn't like that in beta at all.
Luckily I never experienced that one in either game, but holy shit...that's a terrible bug, lol.
run the game in full screen (window mode)if you plan to use thrid party stuff cause if you use full screen only dont use anything else or you WILL have issue!
I still suffer from inexplicable FPS drops from time to time. I usually play at around 50-60 FPS, and can run Skyrim very smoothly on maximum settings, but sometimes my FPS drops to around 20 in SWTOR for no apparent reason.
