Disappointment with the VIP Room

BelgaraathBelgaraath Member UncommonPosts: 3,205

I'm a little disappointed with the VIP room. It really has no reason whatsoever to visit it. The vendor has basically nothing. They really should have had dozens of aesthetic things to get, colorful pets, balls to throw at people for fun, something, but a bunch of outfits and a target thingie and something else makes me feel kind of stupid for looking forward to it. Other than that, I love the game lol...but I do regret getting the Collectors Edition. Does someone see something there that I am not seeing?

There Is Always Hope!

They kinda threw it in last minute I believe, they did they they would be revamping and adding items to that vendor soon. (I mean as it is now the security key vendor even has better items.)

Had I known the game was gonna get ahold of me so much, I probably would of broke down for the CE. I know the OP doesnt feel justified in purchase, although CE buyers got several hook ups.

You can upgrade your account at any time to the 80 version, but I hope eventually they let us buy into the vendor if they end up adding a bunch of stuff to it. That said, I doubt they do, as ME2 stayed exclusive(a nice assault rifle which was included in PS3 version along with the Dr Pepper stuff). Luckily the weapons pack offered later on had the best weapons in game IMO. The assault rifle and sniper gun, along with the SMG from the Kasumi expansion, are my favorites in ME2.

ME2 was the first CE I ever bought, and am doing the same for ME3. I normally refuse to pay the difference for trinkets in the box, but if they are going to be giving tangible gains in game, I may have to start doing it. It was bad enough I have to pre order pretty much everything from GameStop these days for the bonuses.

IMO CEs should offer nothing more than nice items in the game box. They shouldnt provide in game items, and if they do, there needs to be a way for folks to buy in.

Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.
